I tried QuickVoice today and compared it with Voice Candy. Voice Candy (with same feature set) is easier to use and has "different voices" (like chipmunk) for voice alteration. Thank you anyways, but I'll pass.

Does Leopard have Improved Text-Speaking? YES it does!

Here's a *Sample Leopard Recording* (from daringfireball.net) to compare with:

OVERFLOW Review (more than a Dock Extender)

* I currently use Overflow (OF) — it's great for:

Organizing my things into groups (called categories). For example I have one for "Apps I'm Test-Driving" and another for "Gaming" (All groups open in the same window)

Organizing all my project stuff (folders, files, even apps) into a single category (per project)

Show/Hide Hot Key Activation (I use [F13])

Optionally Navigating items from the keyboard

Hiding after I click on something (OR if I click outside of its window)

Acting as an extension of the Dock

Letting me reduce the number of Dock items

Saving me gobs of time

For letting me do ALL these things with Overflow:

Hi.

I am a long time user of MainMenu, however I am on a PPC G4 Mac.

I am a member of the online Mac Owners Support Group: macOSG and I suggest that you register (for free) and post your problem at macOSG's forum:

http://macosg.com/group/index.php

Once you resolve this issue please report back here.

On The Job is so easy to use that I actually enjoy putting it to work tracking and billing client projects.

I also use it to track the time (by task) I spend on my own project developments as it helps me to clearly see where my time goes. A great professional & personal time management tool.

See how it works (with illustrations) and a detailed review @ The Apple Blog:

MainMenu SAVED my MAC and my Sanity!

PROS:

About 6 months ago my G4 MAC (OS X, Tiger) was a mess. I had so many problems with its strange (and evil) behavior that I was ready to call an exorcist. And my system performance had really slowed down. It was then that I discovered MainMenu here while researching Maintenance Utilities and decided to give it a try.

I was amazed at how easy it was to use AND at how quickly it eradicated ALL those system and application irregularities I was experiencing! Since then my OS and applications have been running SO fine. :)

This latest release shows a substantial UI improvement with nice graphics. Moreover, the new features and improved organization make it EVEN EASIER to use.

CONS:

- I have been trying to donate to the vendor since May but they don't want my money. :(

- There is No Help documentation, HOWEVER the vendor has told me that they are working on it -- AND I've presented some good reference material below -- keep reading.

Tips-Tips-Tips!
