ROBRECORD  Thats very true. Thanks for the insight!

To me, it just seemed a bit untruthful that the one purpose for this tool that instantly came to my mind was not even hinted at in the description - though ultimately I understand why they might omit it ;)

Here's hoping I never have the misfortune to inadvertently 'use' it.

ROBRECORD  Couldn't you just lock your mac's screensaver? Seems a bit shady ;)

MISHA  Sure you can. And if someone knows your password or figures it out, how will you know? Especially if they're thorough about covering their tracks (clearing history, deleting recent documents, clearing logs, etc.).

A nice kitchen knife can be wonderfully useful when you're preparing a meal in the kitchen.

Or it can quite easily be used to kill someone.

Tools are just that. We decide how we want to use them and for what purposes. ;)

ROBRECORD  This app refused to recognise any device I attached (Android G2, HTC Windows Mobile).

It also consumed large amounts of CPU and memory, and spawned a syslogd task that gradually took over my system with memory consumption until I force-quit it with Activity Monitor. Very strange.

ROBRECORD  Excellent app! Simple and does the job.

Any chance of allowing the scroll wheel to accelerate?

WOODEN BRAIN CONCEPTS  Seems to work on Snow Leopard 10.6.1. Was really the only thing I needed Logitech Control Center for, so thanks, and good riddance LCC.

32- or 64-bit Kernel Startup Mode Selector
Aug 27 2009

ROBRECORD  Thankyou for creating this! Having it available in a GUI app is very handy.

I haven't got Snow Leopard yet but when I do, after reading your helpful web page, I think I'll be sticking with a 32-bit kernel for the mean time.

(According to the page, 32-bit kernel mode is the default for Snow Leopard; and everything will run pretty much the same (all apps are still 64-bit), plus it will stay compatible with existing kexts. With several bits of hardware that rely on kexts I think I'll need to use a 32-bit kernel for a while, until these get updated.)
