RICHJN  Does what it says on the tin.

Maybe a small help file to explain what the process is doing would be nice but to be honest its just turn it on and you can see network drives from Time Machine Prefs, turn it off and you can't.

Perfect for backing up my Mac Pro to Samba on my NAS server.

RICHJN  Great App but just a warning

DONT LOOSE YOUR ACTIVATION CODE

I did, so I tried to contact support and, guess what ? you need your activation code to be able to contact them DOH!!

So I sent several emails to their general email addresses and support and have not had a single response. I left a suggestion that yhey may want to implement a activation code recovery system, we will just have to wait and see.

I was lucky I found my activation code in the end but I won't be purchasing anything else from this company until they sort this issue out.

RICHJN  Win XP can see 4GB but this is ALL memory so if your video card is 250MB then you may only see 3.5 GB, however, (I think this is correct) Windows can only assign 2GB per program but is in theory able to do this up to the limit of your actual ram. In Windows Server they used a a technique of allocating memory into 2GB lumps which they caled PAE (physical Address Exstentions) which allows ram configurations in excess of 4GB to be used. To enable you simply place "/PAE in to your boot.ini file.

On my Mac Pro with 8GB memory Windows did this for me by default so may have done so on yours as well. To check look under Control Panel > System and just after the bit where it says memory blah it will say Physical Address Exstenstions

RICHJN  Great!! works with Australia store as well. I know it wont make my new Mac Pro arrive any quicker but at least it stops me from logging in to the Apple Store every 5 minutes to check :-)
