Zip Mac Files for PC
May 30 2009

REELSTUFF  I just recently began to have an issue with this, I had some complaints from windows users, however, now using wordpress, if you zip up a plugin, then upload it, and install it you are likely to have an issue, with the PHP include function on some plugins,

I know magpierss hotfix has this issue and I expect there are others, so really as a developer I dont want to send these out with my files, because it could cause a support issue and I have enough to do without holding someones hand that has to be told how to delete the __MACOSX folder before the word press plugin will work again.

This should not be that darn hard to fix so listen up Apple dev dudes, fix it, already, its a pain in the kiester....

****.

REELSTUFF  I have tried the full version and I am impressed, it is a nice little application and has some serious promise for the future, I would love to see a more open environment like you see with the RW model, I believe you would see some serious growth.

Nice App, if you are on the fence about getting the bundle there are two apps in the bundle that are worth much more than the small amount they are charging.

RW and Pulp Motion, definitely a keeper.

MACLOWRES  hello

an open environment has been on our list for a while...but since we kept tweaking the themes infrastructure, it was really difficult to do.

We are finishing PulpMotion v2 and have developped a dedicated tool to build new themes. It's very powerful and will be released shortly after the v2

REELSTUFF  I tried the Demo, and was confused with regard to much of the way the program works, not sure if this is all related to the black background and trial clip that loads over everything so you cant really see what it is you are getting.

I am on the fence with this one, I was really interested in the application, and I wish I could see what I would have once unlocked, it looks interesting but seems to stop somewhat short of the impression received when viewing the sample video and then attempting to use the demo.

Perhaps I missed something or maybe it is just the trial that blocks out everything so you can see nothing, that makes me wonder about what is not seen in the demo.

I think I will have to wait and see if there are further reviews to see if this will be something I would want.

AQUAFADAS  Hello

I am not sure I understand your issues here...I agree the black screen can be confusing and this has been fixed in the 1.5 release.

basically, PulpMotion is an authoring tool. Try this:

1; Use the media panel on the right to navigate to pictures and videos. Select some media and drop it into the drop zone (bottom)

2. Hit the play button...you will see your composition playing using the current theme

3. Pick up another theme (bar on top) and explore

4. Fine tune by adding titles, changing parameters, etc..

5. export to share

REELSTUFF  Thank you for responding, I have purchased the full version and can say that it does perform nicely.

It is definitely worth while, is it perfect no what software is perfect, but it is impressive, my earlier comments were because I could not properly evaluate the application because of the overly aggressive nag screen, good to hear that has been fixed.

Looking forward to working with this software in the future, if your sitting on the fence wondering if the application is worth it, it definitely is a great tool to work with, and will only get better with age.

AQUAFADAS  Thanks

We are definitely interested by feedback such as the one above. In 1.5, we decided to position the playhead right after the intro...this way, you never get a black screen, but always the first frame after the intro. So you understand that the application is actually doing something with your images, before you decide to hit the play button.

The changes in ergonomics are quite numerous, and performance gets a real boost too. We are looking forward to put PulpMotion 1.5 out as beta soon.
