R33C3 I was using toast, and i wasnt happy with the dvd conversions, i mean, there ok and everything, but there very pixelated and not what i really would expect from such and expensive program. I came across visual hub, and was amazed by the preformance, speed and detail its able to make. I love it. 5/5 :) (Version 1.32)
R33C3 If your having the VLC conflict, just reencode the movie through ffmpeg. Its a free program, and can be found here on this website. (Version 2.1.2)
R33C3 That doesnt really make sense. Or you have to do is make an account and download the update. I only just recently made an account an am using Toast 8.0.3 now. If your having problems putting in your area code, make it up there not going to ring u, 9/10 times contact is made from email. (Version 8.0.3)
R33C3 Im a user of Toast Not popcorn. So I downloaded popcorn and gave it a try. Really its the same thing. Except theres more options for compression whether you want it quickly or slow for maximum quality.
However Im starting to use popcorn for movies now. And I like it. (Version 3.0.2)
I found that the Quicktime codec I installed to player AVI was interfearing with Toast's Codec so I removed it and am encoding a video now. Hope that helps.
Library -> Quicktime ->[Then remove the installed codec]
R33C3 When I first Installed Toast when i got my mac, it was 8.0.1 I found NO problems with it, it was working perfectly, even better than expected. I have recent;y intstalled 8.0.3 and it has been nothing but trouble.
I installed Toast and was trying to encode a movie file as a dvd video. So I did what I normally did and went to dvd-video and started encoding. At around 5% an error came up saying "It has closed unexpectedly". I renistalled it, same error. Completely removed it, same error. I even Reformatted my mac, thats how desperate i was and still I am getting this error. (Version 8.0.3)
