POLYRYTHMIC  Hi Gekimo,

and many thanks for your comment!

I don't know about any soft that creates multiple velocity/attack files... except Archibald itself, thanks to its 'SYNTH' function.

I you own some samples' banks, you can emulate the 'attack parameter' by applying filters or compression on the files.

(i.e.: a snare is more brilliant when hit in its middle)

Some high quality sounds banks offer multiple attacks (that is different from multiple velocities). NDK is probably the best choice for this.

To set up NDK for Archibald, main thing to do is:

select the samples you want to use and place them in a specific order into a folder. Name the folder, place it into 'PolySoundBank', then use 'BankBuilder to create the correct file for Archibald.

Archibald is limited to 100 samples per ordinary instrument, 300 samples for Hihat and Snare.

All this is detailed in the manual, chapter 'Bank Builder'.

I personnaly use NDK with Archibald, and it sounds great. Thanks to them you can get a top-level drum soft for less than $150...

Cheers,

and many thanks for the report.

You're right, Rec 2.1 doesn't seem to work on PPC.

[tested on G4]

I'm trying to change this.

Cheers,

POLYRYTHMIC  Hi Citadel,

the problem hasn't been reported yet for OS prior to 10.4.8. It concerns .dmg files compatibility (I'm running 10.3.9).

In December there was an important security alert concerning .dmg files. I suppose Apple has released security updates for these files too quickly.

Waiting for any valid solution, man can use your clever tip!

POLYRYTHMIC  Hi Citadel, and thanks for your comment!

Well, what you describe is quite strange, and I can't reproduce this on my computer. What system are you running on?
