Type: Hint/TipDate: 17 Dec 2007 13:01Not all web browsers allow you to save a web page as a pdf without page breaks. Safari Stand adds this capability to Safari although it's now tricky in Leopard.

Type: ReviewDate: 16 Oct 2007 05:13One word to describe this, fantastic! Been hoping something like this would turn up for ages. You can choose which widgets you want to run outside of the Dashboard layer and the changes survive a restart, excellent! To return a widget to Dashboard is easy too. Hope HoverDash works in Leopard as well. Thanks to the developer/s PlatkusWorld, for truly useful software.

Type: ReviewDate: 17 May 2007 15:45I really like Natural Worlds, the sounds are great as well as the simple clean design of the app. You can switch worlds from the dock menu. I look forward to more worlds. A nice feature would be export to iTunes. Many thanks!

Type: ReviewDate: 12 May 2007 08:53I have an EyeTV v2.4 for DTT Digital Terrestrial Television and it works great on my Mac Mini G4 1.25Ghz!!. EyeTV records the DVB stream unaltered, so you’re getting full quality DTT content as encoded by the broadcaster. I wanted to burn this mpeg2 content straight onto dvd without unnecessarily re-encoding the mpeg2 files and losing quality and time.
So here is how I burn EyeTV files into DVD format losslessly using Burn at http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/21992/burn.
1. Export Recording as MPEG Program Stream
2. In Burn preferences under video select Force remuxing MPEG2 external streams
3. Select Video tab of Burn making sure DVD is selected as type and change untitled to what you want the DVD to be called
4. Add EyeTV mpeg file/s. At this point Burn will ask to save the remuxed mpeg2 file somewhere, make sure you give it a different name to the original.
5. The order of the files determine the order they'll play on your DVD. Each file will get a chapter point however Burn does not create any menus.
6. Burn or save as disc image if you want to test the DVD in DVD player first.
Hope this helps someone trying to do the same, thanks to the authors of Burn.

Type: CommentsDate: 10 May 2007 12:41I've only been running this app for a couple of hours but I like it. It's a very good looking app and easy to use. Why name it Hora?
Things I'd like added/changed:
-Support for tracking firefox/opera
-Does Hora connect to port 80 to get the favicon of every website you visit? I'd like a preference to turn this off.
-preference for dock icon
-Projects, I'd like to be able to add future events on a project timeline, in a simple way like you can in ical drag a box and give it a title, the box could be ghosted i.e. semi-transparent. Adding very simple planning functionality in a timeline view may widen Hora's appeal by appealing to people like me who doesn't need the complexity of say OmniPlan but would like to view events in a timeline view.
-Timeline view, be able to shrink and expand to a much greater extent, be able to see weeks, months at a time. This would support Hora's use as a simple planning app, being able to see what was planned and what you actually did.
Nice start though, well done!

Type: ReviewDate: 6 May 2007 08:08Synthesia has a great looking full screen user interface. I found the included midi files way too hard to play. I'm not exactly sure how the app scores you however, is the percentage based solely on hitting the note at the right time or does it take into consideration the duration of the note?
Does anyone know of any resources on the net for beginner level midi files to play piano, thanks.

Type: ReviewDate: 30 Apr 2007 12:40With this 2.1 release NeoOffice has dethroned Microsoft Office & Pages 2. Smooth and responsive on my G4 Mac Mini, I wish Pages was even half as responsive. Keynote is still a keeper though.

Type: ReviewDate: 11 Apr 2007 06:41I wanted an offline viewer for UK tv listings. This program does that with the Radio Times plugin. It downloads about 2 weeks of schedules. I filter for films only. Any film I'd like to see I right click and export to iCal. Lovely!

Type: Hint/TipDate: 8 Mar 2007 04:03I've just tested a MSI StarCam Clip Webcam on a G4 Mac Mini 1.25Ghz running Mac OS X 10.4.8. Cannot use the webcam's built in mic & video together because a loud ringing noise is produced. I have a usb mic and use that for sound input and the webcam only for video.
Supplied Webcam Monitor App & Quicktime:
Used the webcam monitor app that came with the driver to set the webcam resolution to 640x480. The picture is good (almost MacBook iSight quality) but the picture tears up quite a bit.
Skype:
Picture is good (confirmed with sister running Skype on a MacBook) and there is no tearing. Skype developers have probably developed their own code for video.
iChat:
Webcam is not recognised.

Type: DeveloperDate: 24 Jan 2007 12:05Hi, sorry for the delay responding. The app is downloading fine, just checked 24/01/07. Its hosted by MacUpdate, so if it's not working you might try alerting MacUpdate admin. Thanks.

Type: DeveloperDate: 18 Dec 2006 06:37Hmm, the download now link for v1.1.2 doesn't seem to be working. It just sends you to the MacUpdate homepage. Apologies if it doesn't work, MacUpdate is hosting the file, I try and get it fixed asap.

Type: ReviewDate: 16 Dec 2006 09:36Wonderful plugin. I love the thumbnail previews of all open tabs. Equally the ability to right-click on a page and export it to as a pdf. Paparazzi does something similar but does not work with secure pages because it has to reload the page.
Features I'd like
-The icon of exported pdfs to resemble the contents (like Paparazzi does)
-If a pdf already exists with the same name add a suffix automatically e.g. page title-p001
-preference for naming exported pdfs e.g {page title}-{yyyy-mm-dd} MacUpdate SafariStand 2.0b17-2006-12-16.pdf
-Export as webloc with an icon resembling the page. I prefer browser independent bookmarks, and currently I add spotlight comments to my bookmarks with a screenshot of the logo or page as their icon. I also have a webloc spotlight importer installed.
Thanks.

Type: ReviewDate: 16 Dec 2006 08:52I wanted to add the following to my menu bar:
-choose from running applications
-buttons for expose
-multiple clipboard
-iTunes controls
-text shortcuts
Butler gave me all this and a Spotlight query window eliminating the annoying delay the search whilst you type feature can sometimes produce.
I have a Mac Mini G4 1.25GHz, no speed demon, and Butler runs great.

Type: CommentsDate: 10 Dec 2006 08:28Thanks, displays google results clearly and the widget looks good although I'd prefer the title Google in its normal colours but I like the black and white formatting of the results. If possible consider adding the following as preferences:
Display ? results per page. (I prefer 100)
Choose regional google engine e.g. I'm in the UK so that would be google.co.uk.

Type: Hint/TipDate: 7 Dec 2006 11:59I've just tried QueueMemo, this application allows you to create memos (look for Q on menu bar) which are tied to a particular application. However if you prefer memos to visible in all apps, try Stickies or the shareware Edgies.

Type: CommentsDate: 21 Sep 2006 10:59Are you one of the people who thought iTunes 7 fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way
down... and then got hit repeatedly with the ugly stick?
:)
p.s. it refused to install under a standard account (did not ask for authentication), but installed fine under an admin account on mac os x 10.4.7.
