PETE-ON-THE-WEB  This is great, although I would like to see something like times being a part of this, so that at 11pm, my MacBook gets muted , then un-mutes at 8am or so. That way I can hear when mail has arrived during the day & not at 2am in the middle of the night!

SMARTEC  For this you can easily find SoundAsleep... you can set a range of time when all sounds should be off.

This is not a purpose of MacAutoMute as I say in macautomute.com

... and think about it.. you must remember to change settings if someday you need another time-range.

But if you need it, soundasleep is your choice

PETE-ON-THE-WEB  All I can say is amazing.

A while back I was 'trying' to stitch a series of photo's together using Photoshop Elements 6, and a couple other panorama programs I found here. I gave up in frustration. I ended up with knots for the panoramas or nothing. I deleted the series of panorama shots long ago. I'll have to take them once again & use DoubleTake to do the job of stitching them together.

This is so easy and effortless. I made three panoramas in no time. They look great!

This is definitely worth buying.

Great icon though!

Dock Spaces

PETE-ON-THE-WEB  Going in to System Pref's after I quit Dock Spaces, I re-set Spaces to 8 spaces, and all program info was still there. Still, it was a bit disconcerting seeing my spaces set-up drastically altered on starting up Dock Spaces.

PETE-ON-THE-WEB  So I download this app & launch it.

Eight spaces have now been reduced to 4. I have to re-set everything.

Why do you re-configure Spaces? Now I have to re-do Spaces again!

Leave Spaces as is!

PETE-ON-THE-WEB  OK - after re-installing it and then hiding everything, it appeared in the menu bar. Not sure why it took hiding everything to make it appear.

PETE-ON-THE-WEB  Sounds great - but how do you do anything with it? It is running, but is faceless with no obvious means of using it. No added menu, no menu item, nothing in the dock.

The developers need to add some simple documentation. There is nothing in the package contents either.

Killing it via Terminal - will wait for a future release.

TONY ARNOLD  Hi there! I think that the auto-update screen may have been lost in the mix - this definitely needs fixing, but if you hide your other active applications and re-launch you should see a dialog asking you if you'd like to check for updates - once you've responded there will be a new icon in your status bar.

PETE-ON-THE-WEB  100 megabytes for a scree refresh problem?

Good grief - I have high speed now, but 100 mb's for a minor fix? Gimme a break!

PETE-ON-THE-WEB  I buy software that gives me something I want. PhotoPresenter did this. But then Apple upgraded their system software which broke PhotoPresenter.

Has PP been fixed? No.

Was it a waste of money? Yes.

This is the main reason I stopped buying some shareware programs. They aren't supported when Apple updates their system software.

I used to give a chance on something I liked. But not anymore.

JAZZADDICT  "This is the main reason I stopped buying some shareware programs. They aren't supported when Apple updates their system software."

This really isn't the case for most the shareware I use. Maybe you should look into finding better software. I've found freeware is no better at keeping up with system updates. Sometimes open source software is better with this because they have a community around the software, but I find freeware and open source are left in the dust as much or more than shareware developers because there's less accountability. You just have to find good apps with developers who put a lot of energy into it. What kind of software license the app falls under is not a good indicator of whether the app is gona' stay up to date with system updates.

Btw... PP works for me. Sorry you're having issues with it.

Runes of Avalon 2

***..

PETE-ON-THE-WEB  The sound is annoying. It is sold separately as a soundtrack, but I ended up turning it off after a couple games.

High scores are difficult to get. If you stop the game in progress, you start again at zero points.

Not enough quick plays.

Timers seem off - some levels end rather quickly when compared to others.

Level of difficulty is mixed also. Some levels are very difficult, the next, very easy.

It is an OK time waster, but there are too many others that are better out there than this.

PETE-ON-THE-WEB  After starting the download (slow high speed,) I checked their website. It is $20 a month - is any game worth $240 a year to play?

On downloading the game, this file is just a patch. Now to find the game to see if it is worth it.
