PEARLMAN Much of what Paul says is true. Chronos Customer Service does not exist. However, I downloaded 8.0.5 and decided not to buy. Buggy and sluggish, at best. I posted some comments on their site and still have not heard back from them. Strangely enough, the bugs I experienced with 8.0.5 were fixed in their latest update 8.0.6. The app is still sluggish at start-up and is slower than one might expect in it's use. The concept is good, I simply think they have gone over board with all of the features. Print essentials is great. Notes? The jury is still out for me. The contact organizer and calendar have potential. Needless to say, I'll be sticking to Address Book and iCal for now and be keeping an eye on Chronos. I've not found another app that has any potential. It is a mystery to me why Sage does not go cross platform with their ACT app. The code in SOHO Org. must be a nightmare and I don't envy the programmers. I say, clean it up and you'll have a product. Most importantly, beta test, beta test, beta test. I get the feeling Chronos expects the consumer to do all the beta testing. This is not a formula for success. Focus guys! (Version 8.06) |
