PATRICK SHEEHAN I'm guessing that some reviewers here haven't taken the time to read the "read me" file to learn how to use the program. I've been using Tidy Up since its inception and have found it incredibly useful for keeping my Macs' files in order. Often I transfer files across several machines and duplicates (and older versions) can easily become nested in folders where they're not expected. Tidy Up races through all of the files on my hard drives and presents me with the exact information I need to decide on what to keep and what to toss.
What I especially fail to understand is the lambasting going on here for $20 for an upgrade to a program that many folks have used for years for free. It seems to make common sense that if a programmer spends time rewriting code to both add features and to adapt to Apple's new operating systems that such time should be remunerated. Best as I can tell, no one is being forced to upgrade. If the program is useful to you, $20 seems a small price to pay for all of the benefits it offers.
Just my two cents, but I've had no problem backing that with my twenty dollars.
