PACMAN -Replying to my own post.. It seems it doesn't work on my other computer running Leopard. Maybe it's because my Safari is already messed up. (Version 4.0.3)

I had so much problems with my Safari. It stopped working, and I found out by accident how to get rid of the dialogboxes that pop up when you double-click your downloads. In /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ you'll find a file called VerifiedDownloadPlugin.plugin. What I did, was to move this to the desktop, and it seems I got a much easier life (because I download a lot, and I really *do* know that I downloaded the files, I doubleclick, from the internet). -Does this work for anyone else ? (In fact, I searched the web, and some sites says this plugin is not malware... Well, it is to me - even if there's no code in it). (Version 4.0.3)

PACMAN Very sad. Server can't find au.gu.st. I used qmail years ago, and it was awesome. Now I can't get it to work with the 1.4 (or *is* it 1.3) GUI-installation. The .dmg file from au.gu.st worked well, as far as I remember, but I guess it was for Panther or Tiger. (I also tried getting qpopper working, after 3 different approaches, including macports, I gave up). -Does anyone know where to obtain a working Mac OS X (Leopard) version of qmail? PACMAN Clicking the title-bar of a window should always behave the same way. if accidentally clicking where the close-button is, you lost the contents of a tab. You are right, there's not much space on a laptop, however, it does not justify changing the user-interface drastically for one single application. :) -Instead Apple could make an option to 'flatten' the other bars, make the bars 'expand' when the mouse is near them and include a fullscreen option, etc. I have a 12" PowerBook, and I'm perfectly happy without the top-tabs - I don't need them. I still think they're nutty, though. -But that's my opinion and I want to keep it! ;) (Version 4.0.3)

PACMAN Just downloaded 4.03 - the arrows are not fixed in 4.03 either. :( I believe I'll move to Shiira instead. (Version 4.0.3)

PACMAN I'll give 4.03 a go then. -But I don't expect it to be possible to get rid of the pop-up suggestions.. Anyway, thanks for the tip! :) (Version 4.0.3)

PACMAN I upgraded to 10.5.8, didn't expect Safari 4. In the beginning I was impressed, and happy about it didn't have those nutty top-tabs. But after a short while, I got annoyed with the URL field and the search field. My up/down arrow keys don't jump to the beginning/end of the search fields anymore. Instead I get a drop-down menu, where I can choose some previously entered text. I don't need that at all. It's sluggish, it covers the current web-page and it takes my focus away from what I wanted to search for. Since it doesn't work like I'm used to, I started looking for alternatives. I knew about OmniWeb already, but I don't like the feel of OmniWeb (although, it's a great browser). ...Anyway, I found Shiira, which looks quite promising!! Check it out. (it's the v2.2 I'm talking about). (Version 4.0.3)

BILLY THE BIKER " happy about it didn't have those nutty top-tabs." Nutty in more window space on a lap top. Nutty in much easier to see and choose. Nutty in the fact that a LOT of people want them back. Nutty in that it should at least be an option. Nutty all right. (Version 4.0.3)

Pac the Man X | Jul 19 2009 |
PACMAN These people are worthy of making a PacMan clone. If you haven't tried Pac the Man, you've missed one of the better experiences in life. I say this over and over again: This is the best conversion I've ever seen! (Just one hint for you: You can use GraphicConverter or Photoshop to edit your ghosts slightly translucent, if you want). Gimme Email | Jul 27 2009 |
ORBITERAPPS The following response was also used in response to another comment above: Thank you for your comment. Gimme Email is not intended as a "Spam" utility, but rather as a tool to help small business owners collect their own customer's emails and build newsletter lists from those who have asked to be contacted in the past. I reject the notion that this is a "Spam" program, when that label depends on how you use the program and not on the capabilities of it. Many of our current customers who've purchased Gimme Email are using it to recover damaged email lists and sort through large amounts of data to find email addresses from past clients and email subscribers. Again, just because Gimme Email CAN be used to collect emails for the purpose of spamming does not make it a Spam utility. You've heard of Limewire right? (One among many file sharing apps) Just because it CAN be used to download commercial content illegally does not mean you should do it, and it certainly does not make Limewire an indecent application. Also, you may wish to know that after having put over 100 hours of my time developing this application, I think your comment is rude at best. (Version 1.0.1b)

PACMAN Quite nice. Controlling is well-done, which many of todays games lack. I find it a bit difficult to jump in the beginning of level 2, but I might master that some day. Music is nice, graphics is simple, but that's kinda fun. If anyone disagrees with me, I'll just mention that Ambrosiasw did that with SketchFighter too. ;) (Version 2.5)

Teddy Factory | May 25 2008 |
PACMAN Great game, great idea. I was looking for something like the old game "Factory", but found this instead. Graphics is wonderful, however, I'm colorblind, and would like to ask the developer to change one of the bluish colors to yellow. Here's to all game-developers: Please use strong colors. Eg. RGB-values with R=255, G=255, B=0, instead of tinting colors close. There are many games, people like me cannot play; especially the games where you have to match 3 colors in a row or something like that. I've set playability low, because the two close colors is ruining everything for me. Still the game would be great, if this was fixed. -Maybe the other color is purple or blue mixed with some red/some green. I'd strongly suggest using yellow instaed. Keep the blue. For everyone who is about to download the game: It only works once. -After you've run it the first time, it'll expire. (Version 1.0.1)

PACMAN Excellent. What I've been looking for for ages: A small program, which encodes my VOB files directly to DV, preserving as much quality as possible, so I can use them with Final Cut. Awesome, it just works. I wonder if the developer has any idea that the application is capable of this? :) Seems to work flawlessly. (Version 1.4)
