Installs fine, but cannot open Preferences or check the Lists at all. Had to uninstall. Using 10.5.2 on an Intel iMac.

There. Linotype was just updated to address the incompatibility with 10.5.2. Now you can get back to work. :)

Nope. TV Forecast, Dr. Who, iStat Pro, and Gas are working without a hitch.

Disable Linotype until they release an update. There's an incompatibility between it and 10.5.2.

Copies (and deletes) my homemade ringtones to the iPhone, but they do not make any sound. I'm using regular M4A files. :(

Actually, being able to change my MAC address is quite useful when testing whether or not my Airport network's MAC Address Access Control is working or not.

iTunes development is based on AAC and MPEG-4 video, not MP3. Also, please, will all of you learn to write proper English? Thanks.

Yes, cuz it is very difficult to right-click (or command-click) on a file and select "create archive". LOL.

Oh quit your whining. The first "update" that was made for the iPhone was 7.3 on June 29th, and there have been 2, not 5, updates since then. iTunes is their all-in-one media jukebox so it's going to become bloated after awhile.

Unless you are using more than Windows and OS X on an Intel Mac, I don't really see the value of this software. AFAIK, you cannot set a firmware password on an Intel Mac since it uses EFI as opposed to the Open Firmware of previous G-series Macs. Just press the Option key on startup and you will be presented with icons for booting into either OS X or Windows XP, even multiple versions on different partitions/disks if available, using no additional boot-picker software (such as this).

Installed it and.. wait. I can't find my car anymore. It must have eaten it. And.. wait... my adult video collection has been edited down to soft porn... oh. never mind. It installed without a hitch on my 20" Core Duo iMac. :)

Boinc runs perfectly fine under OS X, with no command-line options required.

You must install XP onto a Boot Camp partition first and then tell Parallels to use that Boot Camp partition as your disk. Parallels should ask you to install Parallels Tools into XP. You may now switch back and forth between Boot Camp and Parallels as you need.

Why on Earth are you criticizing Blender just because you don't know what the installer for Yafray (a different, separate piece of software) has placed on your system? If you are so paranoid about what Yafray (not Blender) has installed on your system, and cannot even figure out how to email the Yafray team without removing the "NO SPAM" portion of their addresses, then perhaps you should not have bothered to download Blender.

Memory management is handled by the OS, not the application. No modern OS would give that much control to a lone app, especially one based on a Unix core.

What does running the periodic scripts have to do with freeing up RAM? 'periodic weekly' rotates log files and updates 2 databases on your Mac.

Because no one uses it. :)

Why don't you just turn off the enhanced window animations, save yourself a ton of CPU cycles (like I did on my iMac Core Duo), and quit whining?

When I installed this version of Boot Camp onto my iMac, and the utility created the partitions, it also did not show up on my desktop until AFTER I had installed Windows XP. You choose the partition to install onto, Windows does not choose for you. Make certain that you are choosing the correct one from the list.

If you cannot connect to AIM from two different programs on your Mac, then you obviously have another issue which is unrelated to either iChat or Adium. Perhaps you should check your Network settings or, if you are crashing a lot on your iMac, perhaps a reinstall of your OS would help?

Just use Activity Monitor instead.

Try installing J2SE 5.0 instead of using 1.4.2.

How on Earth could you have left this running for 10 days, and why would you?

All this does is simplify the process of taking your protected AAC files from iTunes, burn then to CD, and then re-rip them into MP3 format. If you want AAC files, just burn your songs to CD and re-rip them as AAC.

Wiggus: certain library features are not supported in pre-Tiger operating systems, even with systems earlier than 10.3.9. For example, in versions of Mac OS X prior to 10.3.9, the system C library did not support true long double. Trying to pass that to an older C library would either generate an error or not run at all.

This is the small price you pay for free phone calls using peer-to-peer technology. Get over it.

My Apple wireless keyboard and wireless Mighty Mouse no longer work under these new Boot Camp 1.1 drivers. Bluetooth Devices control panel sees nothing, either. Reinstalled Windows XP clean and still the same thing. :(
