OSXI Thanks for great utility. Is there a way to easily add some type of indication of how much free space is available? I know there's two memory partitions available and I'm assuming this is using the larger partition. (Version 1.2)
OSXI Why does the chat window auto scroll back to the top (the first part of the conversation) after every entry? So I've got to manually scroll down every time I want to read what was just written... (Version 3.0b3.98855)
OSXI I had tried the previous version and saw great potential for use as a mini home alarm system. Have you considered allowing a remote method of arming and disarming such as SMS text messages or even a paired Apple Bluetooth remote? (Version 1.5)
To me, one "Killer App" for the Mac is home security. Being able to access the iSight camera to take picture of the room makes me wonder if you could either add motion detection and sms or eMail alarms and/or work closely with a program called SecuritySpy... www.SecuritySpy.com (Version 1.3)
OSXI This last guy who trashed the program and using a Mac onstage and for guitar stuff must be a frustrated failure who's made at the world. Ignore the goof! (Version 1.0.6)
OSXI I appreciate your response, but I still don't understand why you ask for user name when every other app that asks to authenticate already knows the user name only asks for a password.
Also, why doesn't the app called Fan Control ask for authentication?
OSXI I think this is a brilliant concept and I would like to see it an integrated it into the OS. In my opinion it needs the option to make some settings automatic.
I'm concerned that this is the only piece of software out of hundreds that I have that asks for user name in addition to a password in the developer's special format rather than the standard OSX authentication pop up window. Why is this the only one that requires that?
The devoper was good about answering the first few eMails but now has been silent. (Version 1.2)
LUTHER Or better yet, DEV, answer them here, as then we all get to see it. In the original post, the sentence with the question mark (?) behind it is the question. That's how English grammar works. (Version 1.2)
Why does smcFanControl has it's own authentication dialog and is not presenting the OS X default authentication-dialog?
smcFanControl needs special rights for setting the fanspeed. The OS X default authentication dialog would appear everytime you want to set a new fanspeed. So I tried to work around that and the way it works is, I ask for the credentials before the OS X dialog pops up, save the data to keychain and then pass it to the authentication service (just for the ones who want to know). (Version 1.2)
