Anawiki Puzzle Game
Jun 18 2009

NURDLEY  The third time this program quit in mid-stream, I removed it from my hard disk. I was using a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac with over 3 gigs of RAM and ample disk space.

Also have Parallels and Windows XP installed—that may be the problem.

Photo to Movie
Nov 14 2007
*****

NURDLEY  I paid $50 for this program many months ago and it is worth every penny. I have created presentations and slide shows, and when a close friend died prematurely, a made and burned to DVD a 25-minute memorial tribute that traced his life from childhood. The family values having such a memento.

I cannot recommend Photo to Movie highly enough, all you need is some creativity and you can make your photo albums come alive--with sound, too!

No, this is not a solicited recommendation--I don't often bandy praise around for a product, but this one compels me to do so.

When the b comes off the new version, I'll buy it without hesitation.

iGlasses
Jun 9 2006

NURDLEY  Eight dollars is a ludicrous price for a product that makes as much difference as iGlasses does. Before purchasing it, I had bought iLight, a piece of hardware that costs considerably more and is practically useless--I assume that the iLight attachment is no longer available--it shouldn't be.

You can't go wrong with iGlasses, it's a great little utility.

Mah Jong Deluxe
May 4 2006
*½...

NURDLEY  Although the graphics are fuzzier than I had hoped for, this looked like a good Mahjong game and I had made up my mind to buy it after testing it. However, it quits abruptly after about 1 minute in the demo mode--that is infuriating and these people are not getting my money. There are plenty of Mahjong games out there, and I don't paying more when the seller is reasonable.

NURDLEY  It works very well on my G4 1MHz dual. I just wish they hadn't used that ugly, clunky Windows-type design. It really detracts from the program.

***..

CHRIS ALBERTSON  Although not an original game, it does show an original approach, and I would gladly have paid the $10 for it--if it didn't crash after 2 or 3 moves! I have a 1GHz G4 dual, but this game does not get alongwith it. Too bad.

LaCie LightScribe Labeler Updater
Jun 17 2005

CHRIS ALBERTSON  I just downloaded the upgrade to 1.0.2, but it won't install. I get a message telling me that the upgrade cannot find LightScribe (I have 1.0 installed) and therefore cannot install. This us ridiculous, please fix it, LaCie.

As for the slowness--yes it is VERY slow, but the resulting print is superb.
