Where would any of us be without this??

I can't use this app without it demanding I use the most updated version.

Even though I delete all "previous versions" of this app from my system, I download/update the so-called "newer version", but it still makes the same demands.

Anyone know of an alternative to this app? I'm particularly looking for something that will batch remove all artwork and/or associated files that song files have.

I like being able to save webpages as PDF docs - something other browsers don't support.

However, I'm only getting 2-3 minutes of use out of this app before it "unexpectedly quits". -Why?

Have only just discovered this and... Wow!

Kinda reminds me of MacPublisher Pro from the OS8/9 days but much, much cooler.

I travel write and publish. My search for an alternative to the usual bloatware apps that keep 'unexpectidly quiting' and losing all my hard work came to an end when I discovered this app.

It's everything I need; feature-rich, straight-forward, and fun. I'm still getting to grips with it, but even when I'm not writing, it's sometimes just fun to play around with!

Great stuff!

Am I missing something here? I was under the impression this app made free calls?

So why is it asking me for money?

Help anyone??

I'm spitting blood with rage at the moment and should be suing Apple for ruining a whole week's worth of work if I weren't such a forgiving soul.

DO NOT USE iTUNES 7 !!!!! THIS IS A DISASTER AREA !!!

I gave this game another chance and still feel so disappointed that CodeBlender - who in the past have produced some good games - have made a big mistake with DT2.

Perhaps I've got it wrong, but when I play games I want to be entertained, to experience thrills, fun, or adventure. CodeBlender have obviously lossed the plot and do not consider this important, or even essential ingredients to good games.

I fully support the comments BRETTD made below about this disastrous game and reiterate the comments I made previously about why go to the effort of producing what could potentially be a great game if seasoned, or even less-experienced, gamers are only going to see less than two minutes of game play before being hopelessly out-numbered, out-gunned, and out-manoeuvred.

What a waste! Not worth the download. Not worth the fee. Forget this.

This is the only web browser that allows me to use email on OSX.

I've test-driven my email accounts with Hotmail and Yahoo with web browsers like Safari, Firefox, and Opera. When they don't freeze, these browsers always get very confused and refuse to do anything.

I think I'll give Camino a try as I've been sitting here for the last hour trying to send a small photo to a friend... and inly succeeded when I gave Camino a try.

Been using this a while now with no complaints.

However, could Firefox be updated for use with MSN Hotmail? I can get into my Inbox, but Firefox refuses to let me do anything else. I cannot send or delete any mails - for this, I have to use Safari, then switch back to Firefox again for everything else.

It would be nice to use just one app for all mail/internet stuff.

This is a really cool WP. Yes, its like a TextEdit 'upgrade', but an upgrade that provides all the basic essentials for good word-processing. The best thing is that it produces a polished piece of text without all the problems of line / spacing / kerning problems that footnote inserts always seem create in apps like Appleworks or Nisus Writer Express. Only MS Word has conquered this problem. But as a WP with all the 'basic essentials' for producing a polished document without the bloatware, this is the app I will be using for report / research assignments from now on.

And, it does all this as freeware... what more can I say?

Don't know why it doesn't work. It just doesn't. It might be because the Mail.app still asks me all sorts of ridiculous questions to which novice users (although I'm not really a 'novice user') have no clue about.

Was hoping I could just start using apps like Mail straight away for the first time and see what mysteries are waiting to be discovered beyond the long series of stupid questions... that, when invariably answered incorrectly, will not allow users to proceed.

I've used similar apps with (dare I say) Microsoft (...eek!) without much of the hassle of a so-called 'easy set-up'.

Used this in OS Classic days as an alternative to MS Word and loved it. Even the lesser (freeware) version was good enough to write a number of report and research assignments etc.

NWE for OSX, however, is a disappointment. My document looks ugly because of formatting & spacing problems, despite my best attempts to alter prefs and/or re-format my document to give it a more polished look. Footnotes seem to be causing the biggest problems and un-justifys the text by shortening line-endings (like Appleworks), but footnotes also alter the line spacing in documents too.

It would be great if the Thesaurus was integrated within the app, instead of running alongside NWE as a separate app or as a plug-in (I like self-integrated apps - especially with word-processors).

It pains me to say that NWE is a word-processor no more advanced than some freeware/cheaper shareware versions. Even TextEdit with Apple's Dictionary app will produce similar results (other than the footnotes, of course).

I will stick with MS Word for now, but only because it produces the polished look to my documents that NWE and AppleWorks cannot produce.

Us Brits will give you strange looks if you use the word 'soccer'.

Its 'football', just 'football', and only 'football'. It always was and will always be 'football'.

Doesn't work. My IP address is displayed on weblogs when it shouldn't. This does not disguise my identity when and where it matters most.

There are no visible indications that its actually working - can't see any 'processes' to show it's actually doing something.

Dead link to a potentially great app. Get it updated for the latest OS and I'll be first in the queue to download.

I've test-driven other -similar- apps but always come back to using this! This is the BEST in its class.

The interface is clean and simple (so what if it's a bit Windoze-ish) and it's easy and stable for even a novice like me to use.

The option to download and import more patterns/graphics free from the developer's website might be worth considering in the future (?)

Had no problems with this app when I was using XP - it worked great.

Mac version, however, keeps popping up one error messege after another about how its unable to do this or because 'errors'/componant parts missing are found after installation from disk.

Can't figure out why it can't e-update from its own virus definitions database; Has trouble finding the server when I'm already online; Can't find certain componants which I've never heard of, let alone know where to look for them (even if I have them to begin with?)

And yes, it does slow my Mac down to a crawl.

Great app! Easy to use and plays/exports so many different audio formats... and freeware too!

Would be nice if Panther users could use this as many still haven't upgraded to Tiger yet because of all the OS bugs.

Well its about time someone thought of an app like this!

Now I won't receive any more emails from friends saying 'sorry-didn't receive your file'.

Have down-graded to Panther for the third time after giving Tiger the benefit of the doubt for the last time.

Needs a lot of vital updates to get over system freezes that occur with alarming regularity, especially when using Safari and/or three apps running at the same time.

... once that spinning pizza appears, its all over!

(using iMac G4, now running Panther)

This is far too hard for less-experienced gamers. Why bother to develop a game that such a player is only going to see less than 5% of before being out-gunned, out-numbered, and out-maneuvered by enemies that move so much more faster?

Version 1 was way more fun, great fun to play, and immensily enjoyable for many hours.

This is only for hard-core gamers. A big turn-off !!

This app runs for only 20 mins before it freezes. It struggles to cope with 3-4 simultanious downloads.

Freezes require a 'force quit' & restart everytime, meaning I loose my upload credits/ratings etc.

Needs to be more reliable. Other than that, it has potential.

I am glad I'm not the ONLY ONE who feels incredibly frustrated with this program. It is dull, tedious, and so unreliable.

Even though I installed directly from the instalation CDs that came with my new iBook, it will not run saying "iPhoto is missing system files and cannot open' !!!!

Even after re-installing this FOUR TIMES, I still keep getting that same messege. Do you think my local authorised Apple dealer can help? OF COURSE NOT !!!

A nice alternative is FotoMagico which is fast, reliable, and exports your photos into slideshow movies etc much more reliably and at a much much much higher quality. iView Media Pro is another, of course...

I agree with the reviewer who says it is buggy - indeed, it is!! Apple really need to sort this out quickly and provide those so-called 'missing system files' wherever they may be (?????) because I have no idea !!!!

I'm getting tired of seeing the 'application unexpectedily quit' window. Please solve this really annoying problem and I think this app could be well on its way.
