MACUPDATE ADMIN  In a former incarnation I was an audio engineer, a studio and mostly live sound console jockey. This ToolPlayer knocks me out with all its mutating parameters. Great fun to play with.

NICO235  Works as it should so far. For crying out loud, this is what everybody wants! So, five stars. It's free damnit.

NICO235  I love this app too, spotlight is disabled and this is all I'm using. I can't live without it.

So, just saw the new 4.0 version pop up and was rejoicing. Alas, there are a few things that need polish.

My biggest gripe is with the columns. Why are they not all resizable? Especially the date ones, which are also ugly since the date inside is not justified. Also, I would like the resizing to work like in the finder, with short dates or day of the week when space permit, thank you very much. :)

In the meantime, please let us hide them, a command-J kind of thing would be nice, and yes, I have noticed that I can always drag them at the far right of the window and resize the window to hide them, but frankly, this is lame.

Also, the 'kind' column is way too wide, it doesn't need to display more than 4 letters and some comma. Make it resizable too.

Would it be possible to display the size in MB, GB also please? Showing everything in kb is sooo 1990 :)

I'm not so sure I like having the 'search for' and stuff thing on the left instead of on the top, but I might just get used to it.

Anyway, awesome app, and thanks for giving it for free.

NICO235  Those plugins are awesome, and very natural sounding. The decompressing is top notch, and nowhere else to be found implemented this way.

Finally, the protection scheme of the demo is the best I ever saw bar none, period. No sound interruption nonsense, no time bomb. You have one hour of free knob twiddling and processing, as often as you want.

This, is fresh.

My tip of the hat to you, gentlemen, for both a very fine product and an intelligent approach to releasing demos.

NICO235  If you dl this with Safari, it will add a false '.bz2' extension to the download. The dled file is really a .dmg. This is a problem that happens sometimes with Safari when it is downloading, it recognize incorrectly the file type.

If you want to try those plugins, download the linked file, get info on it, and remove the .bz2 extension from the file name. The correct file name must end in .dmg, it will then mount properly in the Finder.

NICO235  A totally incredible plugin!

You can really hear the difference as soon as you touch one knob. Really does makes your audio all new and shiny to hear, great on mp3's.

And it's free! The same amount of processing elsewhere would cost, ah. Probably some money...
