Subler | Aug 29 2009 |
NED SCOTT softsubs on my ipod touch? yes please. This also cuts down on the conversion time for video since I don't have to burn the subs into the video track via QT and Perian (Perian allows QT to see subs, then QT does the actual conversion. QT is very slow at MP4/h.264 encoding). Now I just use iSquint or HandBreak then Subler to mux the srt file. Looking for a Mac converter for .a s s (macupdate word filter won't let me say the file extension without spaces) to .srt, however. Please reply if you know of one. (Version 0.9.2)

JOSHMUNKEY there's also an online converter that i have been using for a while now http://www.akiraru.ru/osc/ssa2srt.php it'll remove all the {*} tags and everything associated with advanced substation alpha, which i really like. sorry for the late response, just thought it was worth noting. NED SCOTT I bought this a while back and was very please with the purchase. Today I needed to modify some settings that I made who-knows-how-long-ago and found that Swift Share wouldn't work on 10.5, and the developer refuses to maintain it. I guess there goes $20 in the trash. (Version 1.0.8)

NED SCOTT So.. what's the point of this? Even for an apple script this is pretty pointless, and I'm trying to figure out why it's even coming up on MU. It's a script that does nothing more than execute a menu command. (Version 1.1)

YAZSOFT SUPPORT The point is that it's very practical and convenient for those that want this functionality but are not technical enough to put something like this together. Having to manually activate Private Browsing each and every time manually could become very annoying esp. if you open and close your Safari browser many times during the day. A big thanks to the developer. I'm sure that many will find it very useful. We, for one, commend the thoughtfulness and the convenience aspect. Thanks! Johnny @ Yazsoft (Version 1.1)

Apple iPhoto | Apr 14 2005 |
NED SCOTT I had the same problem. if you have the ilife '04 installer, and if iphoto 05 never started to "update" your library, then there is hope. Use a program like OnyX (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/11582) to show hidden files, find the iphoto package (you'll have to rename the extention to .pkg from whatever it was) and drop it in unpkg (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/16357). presto, your copy of iphoto '04. NED SCOTT boooooo! boooo I say! even for a tiny company like this, it's freaky to see them just "buy the compitition". I have no doubt they will bloat this program like they did with menucal. if they would at least listen to all these compaints, you think they would offer a lite version without all the features for free. just a plain calander that pops down. and I feel very dirty for having donated money to this project when it was free. they said I was able to get a free license code because of my donation, but I didn't want to buy a personal copy, I wanted to support a good program that was available to everyone! OS Halo Timer | May 16 2004 |
NED SCOTT from what I can tell trying to use this, it sucks. it seems it needs constant attention from the player to set timers for things, and how they would know when to triger a timer for everything, including things they can't see at that moment, seems retarded. you'll spend more time fiddeling with the stupid timer than playing the game, thus taking your attention away from the game. how does that help? I understand the idea, and I think such an idea has potental, but halo timer 1.0b1 is just silly. keep at it, maybe this program can get better, I donno. (Version 1.0b1)

OS Halo Timer | May 17 2004 |
JAMES MACGLASHAN I appreciate any comments on the timer negative or positive, but I am a bit confused on your complaints. My first question is have you ever been a timer or user. When you go to Halo tournaments most everyone in the top ranks has timers (usually wrist watches set for 2 minutes or whatever). With these you would also have to start the timer when a game starts just as you would with this. Also you seemed to have problems with setting things. What problems are you having with setting things? The timer handles the respawn times for everything. All you have to do is select the map that you are playing and it speaks to you for warnings and the actual spawn. Perhaps the problem most lies if you are playing Halo on the computer. Mostly I made it for Xbox players who have their computer next to their TV or have laptop (thats what I do at least). At any rate, if you have any suggestions as to how to make the timer better let me know and I'll see about addressing them. (Version 1.0b1)

OS Halo Timer | Jun 22 2006 |
XXCHIMAWIZZLEXX Yes I realize no one will probably ever read this since the post was made so long ago but just to clear things up. One major use of the timer is that if your whole team knows a weapon is going to spawn, they can all stand over the spot and hold x. When it spawns, they will all get it. I saw this at a tourney and the one team all got os. It was not concidered cheating. Also, it's nice to know when the sniper will spawn so you are not waiting around forever. (Version 1.5)

LinSpot | Apr 6 2004 |
NED SCOTT I think the way one could see this as legal is, they're not reselling the connection, they're "splitting the bill" with their.... "room mates". I think this is an awesome idea, and even my silly explination might have something to it. if I pay $30 for internet service, and I decided to share it for $0.50/day to people in the area, just one person would split the bill.
