Hmmm... Desktop Cigarette uses a Quartz Composer Loader function to load the different ashtrays, so your system may see that as the problem (If it thinks that it may be a possible security issue- I'm running 10.5.1 and didn't get a peep about it...) Regardless, I'm sorry for the problems, and although I'm sure you've already long forgotten about it, I'm certain about the safety of Desktop Cigarette (as it's also up at Apple and a few other sites and this is the only problem I've dealt with...) BUT, personally, if I got the same sort of message, I wouldn't have anything to do with it either... so once again, so sorry! --Mojiferous |

Interesting... Hadn't seen that one before- what system are you running? Are you running any third-party (non-apple) firewalls or security software? |

1. I think a cigar and a joint would be awesome! In fact I will add them soon! 2. As for Smoke rings... I'll try and see if they look okay- unfortunately they would have to come from off-screen and not from the ashtray area... making it look realistic may be a little difficult. 3. I never added any kinds of sounds to Desktop Cigarette because I always figured it would make the program too bothersome... although if you really want them email me... |

Thank you for your comments, but please re-read the post and the readme, as I comment on the poor quality of the graphics, the half-baked implementation, and the fact that I made the program in a grand total of three hours... I am open to suggestions on how to improve Desktop Cigarette in any way possible! I also didn't realize that poor code and smoking were such dangerous things... Thank you! --Admiral Colossus |
