MICHAEL LINK  An update has been released that addresses the login problem and compatibility with MySpace. The login problem was caused by the Mac OS X 10.5.8 update which included a broken version of the XQuery framework. Spyder now includes the XQuery framework from Mac OS X 10.5.7 until Apple can fix the problem.

Spyder is not the cause of accounts being blocked. You can read more about accounts being "blocked" here:

MICHAEL LINK  I haven't seen any crash reports from you so I don't know your specific situation, but if you are in fact running into resource limitations with trying to manage a large user library you could try splitting your data across different documents. This works well with multiple accounts.

NEAN  sorry, but compared to some other OSX applications which also stores data in sqlite db the amount of data I wanna handle with spyder surely is not "huge" or too much for my G5.

My spyder sqlite DB has the size of 50MB,... from my point of view thats a thing about db design,...

well, I even sent you some convincing debug reports,...

so, my experience is: app. is great but performance is poor :-(

I hope this will be better before myspace become stale, because: app is great! ;-)

MICHAEL LINK  Comparing Spyder to Flock is like comparing iTunes to Safari they share some similarities but are quite different. Flock is a web browser, Spyder is an application that integrates with MySpace to perform tasks web browsers are not good at such as concurrently performing MySpace tasks over multiple accounts, sending automated friend requests, messages, comments, events and bulletins without tedious interaction with a website.

MICHAEL LINK  1 has been fixed, and for 2 that is the expected behavior for document based applications which Spyder 2.0 is now. Check under File>Open Recent... I'm sure you'll find the documents you created. I realize many people have asked for a feature to re-open the last used documents at startup, therefore it will be showing up soon.

MICHAEL LINK  Similar products for Windows cost twice as much and have less features. I think the price is unreasonably fair especially considering the amount of support that has to go into a product working with MySpace.

MICHAEL LINK  The only feature that requires a license is that ability to add users that aren't your friends. You can still perform any of the other actions such as messaging and commenting with out a license.

RIDGELINE_DEV  You say that all functions are available without a license except adding friends...this is not true. I am unable to post even a single comment for someone without the "buy me now" box popping up. Hard to evaluate a product if the demo won't even work properly.

MICHAEL LINK  Spyder is competitively priced. Other products that offer similar yet lacking functionality cost 50% more than Spyder such as FriendBot Messenger Mac. One product even charges $35 per account you want to use with their product, Spyder allows you to use an unlimited number of accounts, and you don't need a license for this feature.

If you compare the price/features and quality of Spyder versus other similar products I think you will agree that the price is reasonable. Similar products on other platforms cost more and sometimes much more than Spyder.

If you are looking to simply browse, send messages, and post comments to friends of your account(s) Spyder will do all of that for you for FREE with out requiring a license.
