RAGLAN You can use the program Mkvtoolnix to remux your mkv files to remove audio and subtitle tracks, or at least set them not to play initially so they don't crash vlc 1.0.2

JON555 I'm also having this problem. I shouldn't have to remove the subs. The whole point of most mkv files is that they're sub'd in the first place (anime and whatnot).

ZEPHYRIS I also ran into random crashes with anime. I just use the vlc nightly now it seems to be more stable and I have no issues with subs.

Apple Safari	Feb 24 2009	MICHAEL A. * For those who's Safari crashes on launch * You may have a Safari Plugin that isn't compatible with the new version. For example, I know I had Glims installed. My Safari beta 4 was crashing, so the first thing I did was remove/relocate the folder here: /Library/Application Support/Glims/ After I did that, it worked on the next launch. (Version 4.0b1)		+4

TextCite	May 3 2008	MICHAEL A. I don't think in this particular case that would significantly improve the program. It looks like a Java program, so even on a PowerPC cpu, the code isn't technically native. (disclaimer: I am not experienced with Java programming) I'd venture to guess that the only thing PPC about it is the part "JavaApplicationStub" which only launches the real Java program inside of the app ("TextCite-1.3pre2.jar").
