MECHANIST  gryphonent, you rated it only two stars for features, and then go on to admit that you only considered the price? So if you don't like the price then the features don't exist? That doesn't even come close to making sense.

MECHANIST  Well, "Bill Clinton", speaking as the developer of MondoMouse, what I wish is that when people encounter a problem with my software, they would, y'know, tell me. I can fix problems with the software but only if I know about them.

I develop MondoMouse on a multiple-display system and have been mindful of the potential for problems in that setup since before version 1.0. I haven't encountered anything like what you describe. Unfortunately your description is really not specific enough to figure out what's happening-- what is "a very common way", for example?

MECHANIST  Actually it is true. There were many identical comments, all from the same person. If you're not the same person, that makes two reports, and as I said in my previous message I ask that you contact me through my web site so that I can try and get a better idea of what's going wrong. The software does work for the vast majority of users, however all software may contain bugs, and these bugs may only affect a small number of users of the software.

I do take bug reports seriously. However that does not mean I'm willing to take continued email abuse from someone who has encountered a bug. I'm sorry if you do not understand why someone might not wish to communicate with a person who inevitably responds with personal insults. I would have liked to get more information about the problem but I was not willing to put up with this person anymore.

We no longer have a forum, but this is due mainly to difficulties controlling spam there effectively.

MECHANIST  That particular problem was only reported by one person, and while there were "many similar complaints", they were all from him. I don't know if this is you or not. The person in question was consistently hostile and insulting and so I never got any further information from him. MECHANIST  And just to make sure everyone knows what they're getting into-- GeekBind does not work on Intel Macs. It's also an abandoned, dead project, not having been updated in a long time now.

MECHANIST  No other users have reported this. We make a point of taking bug reports seriously and helping users work through any trouble they may have, but we never heard from you. I don't know what was wrong in your case, because you really didn't post any sort of details, but the software has never been reported to have this problem by anyone who has ever contacted us. If it had been, we would have responded as quickly as possible with a fix.
