Microsoft Office 2008

MARK G  I'm getting too many incompatibilities between Word on the PC and this version. I have pictures that cram themselves into a quarter of the space but are fine in 2007. This is the last version of Office for the Mac that I will buy - I only really use it for work anyway. In future I will run the (ugly) Windows versions under Parallels or Crossover

It was (almost) fun while it lasted

MARK_CAIRNS  Or you could get the superb v3 of NeoOffice for the Mac instead, and it's donationware.

Really incredible what it can do now.

MARK G  I disagree with "for playing not working" - I create lesson plans in Novamind Pro ... a task I do for work, not as a hobby!

MARK G  A fantastic app! I am almost looking forward to planning lessons for the new year.

This app is regularly updated and the developer responds to several questions a day via the Yahoo group set up for this, despite being a practicing teacher himself

Recommended (as Apple did too!)

MARK G  We have always used "multiple choice" to mean pick one of these possible answers! Perhaps the difference is in the way the term is used in different areas of the world

Toast Titanium

MARK G  Just an idea:

Find the Toast application in the Finder. Ctrl/Rt-Click and Show package contents. Navigate through the folders as follows:

Contents > Resources > Toast DVD Menu Styles

In there are several .psd files. You could try creating one (Photoshop or Elements or similar) from scratch. A Safer way would be to back one up and edit it.

I'm not saying it will work... but!
