$29.95 sounds more like a reasonable price. Plus... a lot less people would actually pirate this interesting app.

Type: CommentsDate: 16 Nov 2007 14:32The most significant fixes in this update include the following: the speed of moving objects contained within multiple layer sets has been improved; converting images to CMYK using certain profiles no longer results in black files; the Save for Web feature now includes an option to “Include XMP” (metadata) in the settings menu within the main Save for Web interface, making the existing capability easier to access; when using Save For Web with “Include XMP” enabled, all XMP data is now included in the optimized file; print color matching has been improved; and images saved as DICOM and reopened in Photoshop CS3 are no longer corrupted on PowerPC-based Macs.

you won't need anything else. I once used to use iTunes-LAME... when it used to work.

Type: ReviewDate: 1 Oct 2007 16:36I DO NOT recommend this application at all, to remove it is impossible, even if you decide to pay for it it is based on a yearly license fee, and again erasing your drive low level format is the ONLY way to remove it and you will want to at some point when the serial (which they do see) will be exposed.
There are no serials that are permanent for these applications, they are licenses for a year, you pay as you go and these products can be monitored, a extension is left totaly messing with you firewall wether NETBARRIER is installed or not any more.
I would seriously avoid it., its really a DEMO.
PRODUCT can NOT be uninstalled with out Intego code, while it has a uninstaller Intego has been confronted to why there Firewall still intercepts Apple's OR PREVENTS ANOTHER FROM BEEN THE MAIN 3RD PARTY FW after the NETBARRIER demo OR FALSE PASSWORD is detected!
This product is supposed to block passwords like Little Snitch, but what happens is Intego simply de-activates all the features while you think they are working, and you can see from testing the firewall that ports are open everywhere, then when you try to uninstall it you will notice after your done that your Apple firewall will say another firewall is in use, you try all the methods Apple users recommend and as well as Apple to get rid of this and you notice a Intego extension is doing it via console, then you're told to contact Intego and explain where you got the password or reformat your drive, nice trick...

Type: CommentsDate: 1 Sep 2007 06:09Little Snitch 2.0 is brilliant!!!!
If any of you here should have already bought a license for LS 2.0 and it won't accept the new license number just download the latest beta again:

I had this problem but the support amazingly fast =)

Type: ReviewDate: 29 Jul 2007 09:38Don't forget that it's still a beta but a darn good one. The code generated seems to function well in Firefox, Safari and IE (OS X & Windows). I just have to figure out how get the implemented JavaScript files to work.
Now if only Pixelmator would finally come out. Flux and Pixelmator would be to rocksolid apps to try and work without Adobe... as well as possible =)

Type: CommentsDate: 27 Jul 2007 16:22you can't optimize your system HD if you haven't booted from the eDrive, an USB-Stick, an external FireWire/USB2 drive. something like that doesn't have to mentioned. even if you did try and to optimize your system HD from your system HD TTP wouldn't let you. and yes, a surface scan takes forever so I don't do it every time I optimize.
![]()
Type: CommentsDate: 27 Jul 2007 15:35A few simple steps to actually using TTP:
- Before you even think of starting TTP, rev up Disk Utility and repair permissions and check to see if it needs some repairing.
- Now you can start up TTP
- Don't just start optimizing your HD
- start from left to right in the top menu bar in TTP
- always optimize AFTER you've done all of the above. and you can skip the hardware test too. I just do a hardware test once in a blue moon.
I've used TTP on my G4, my G5 and now on my MBP 2GHz and I'm still waiting for TTP to mess up my HDs. I've never even backed up my system HD before using TTP either. I even use TTP when my friends need some help with their Macs and I use it at work on all of the Macs there and so far TTP has been goo to me.
Remember: from left to right

Type: TroubleshootingDate: 19 Jul 2007 00:30There's a menu insertion problem with iTunes 7.3.1 on my MacBook Pro 2GHz
![]()
Type: CommentsDate: 30 Jun 2007 02:19iTunes 7.3 has finally cured my "slightly distorted sound" on several albums. I could never solve that problem myself and I've always had my Equalizer set to linear. The distortion is no more. And I don't know if it's just since version 7.3 but now all my artists are sorted correctly i.e.:
.
.
Dire Straits
The Doors
Eagles
.
.
"The" is ignored now etc.

OK... it cost $20 but it's worth EVERY cent. My Logitech MX Revolution now works properly again.
I think it's a sad state of affairs that Logitech can't make software which actually functions with their own hardware properly

Type: CommentsDate: 30 Dec 2005 02:01ARANOR8, the whole point of Dashboard is to see all the widgets you need pop up as soon as you hit the F-Key. I don't see the point in closing all the widgets I would need when using Dashboard. It defeats the object of the exercise if I would have to waste precious time looking for the widgets first and opening them each time I start Dashboard. I have Dashboard deactivated, btw.
You're right about many free apps having the feature to disable Dashboard though.

It does put a lot of strain on my PB but for a beta it works OKish but the developers have to see to it that the final release of Google Earth OS X does not hog the CPU.

Type: CommentsDate: 6 Dec 2005 22:51darukaru, thanks for the command line tip. I will however be sticking to iTunes-LAME since I now have updated iTunes-LAME to 3.97b myself.
Obtain the latest build for OSX here:
http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=Lame_Compiles
What you need to do is goto "~/Library/iTunes/Scripts/", right-click on the iTunes-LAME.app file and choose "Show Package Contents". This will open up a new window with the folder "Contents". Go in there, then go into the "Resources" folder. This is where you want to drag your new lame build, replacing the one that is there.
