KERVER This has happened to me many times. It turns out that the download doesn't completely finish. Downloading it again usually does the trick. Check the file size against what it's suppose to be.

MACUPDATE ADMIN After downloading Mac Messenger, you should have a file on your desktop that is labelled:

MacMessenger354.sit

If it has a .txt suffix after the .sit suffix, remove the .txt suffix. Then you can open the file/install the software.
