Type: CommentsDate: 13 Jan 2008 17:56I tried it out on MacOS 10.4 and even if it's old it still displays my IP correctly.
I wish there would be a UB or an intel version...

Type: CommentsDate: 8 Jan 2008 20:30Unfortunately the PPC version is very slow on my intel mac. Hopefully a universal binary or intel version will be available soon...

Type: CommentsDate: 10 Dec 2007 02:56Very nice archiving tool.
The about box says something about "The swiss army knife for archiving", but that's not true! iArchiver is much better than a swiss army knife. Swiss army knifes suck at archiving and iArchiver is an Austrian tool (thank god !).
iArchiver is THE Austrian Archiver.
My grandpa always said: "Never try to hide behind a swiss army knife, that doesn't help." Well, I think Crocodile Dundee would agree.

Type: CommentsDate: 8 Dec 2007 05:06Beware: v0.95 never verifies the data, so I cannot upload and lose the data if I restart the program. I went back to v0.94. Dear Transmisson developers, please check the program before releasing it !

Type: CommentsDate: 3 Nov 2007 12:55Great tool which works nicely.
Features I would like to see in future versions :
- the possibility to compare the specs of two files
- the possibility to save the specs of a file as text
Keep up the good work and thank you !

Type: CommentsDate: 2 Nov 2007 13:49What does BitClamp offer ?
- easy to use interface
- encryption (up to 128 Bit AES)
- Gzip compression
- Price tag: $ 20
What does BetterZip offer ?
- easy to use interface
- encryption (up to 256 Bit AES)
- several different compression options (encryptable are zip, 7zip and rar)
- Price tag: $ 19.95
What does Compress Files offer ?
- easy to use interface
- encryption (up to 256 Bit AES)
- several different compression options (encryptable are zip, 7zip and dmg)
- Price tag: $ 9.95
What does SimplyRAR offer ?
- easy to use interface
- encryption (128 Bit AES)
- rar compression
- Price tag: $ 0 = free !
Comparison inspired by BitClamp's claim of being "Light weight" (quote from its description) :
BitClamp's size: 13.1 MB
BetterZip's size: 8.7 MB
Compress Files' : 7.4 MB
SimplyRAR's size: 1.4 MB
Conclusion: there is a lot of competition out there. Other programs offer better encryption (as far as I know 256 Bit AES is more secure than 128 Bit AES) and/or they offer better compression formats (7zip and rar usually create smaller archives than Gzip) and/or they cost less.

Type: CommentsDate: 31 Oct 2007 21:13It would be great if there would be a version for MacOS X. Even a command line only tool would be great.

Type: CommentsDate: 15 Oct 2007 13:46I prefer Paparazzi, which is a similar tool but has more features, can save in different formats and is free.

Type: CommentsDate: 11 Sep 2007 08:34Very nice Website Tool. After you have created a website template it is very easy to add pages with new content. You can also use the Markdown syntax in addition to HTML which simplifies the page creation. I hope that the developpement of Bygga goes on and that more features are going to be added.

Type: Hint/TipDate: 25 Aug 2007 09:16There is a PPC and an INTEL version of the game. You have to start the "darkwindLobby.jar", click the "Sign up" button and then the appropriate client is going to be downloaded (DarkwindOSXClient or DarkwindOSXClientPPC).

Type: CommentsDate: 17 Aug 2007 13:10There is a beta version of OpenOffice Aqua which doesn't need X11. I think that it's much better than the X11 version. You can download it here:

Type: CommentsDate: 5 Jun 2007 15:03This program could become a very nice PDF tool.
Suggestion:
It would be great if one could save presets (so that you don't have to retype the same information).
Problems:
All the changed texts start with two strange and unwanted characters (which look like "yp", you can see them with the program "Preview" in the "Document information" window in the "Details" section).
All the changed texts have unwanted spaces between every letter.
Maybe the described problems occured because I did something wrongly, but I don't think so.

Type: CommentsDate: 2 Jun 2006 07:50Finally Cocoazip has a nice interface and is easy to use.
I use MacOS 10.3.9 and Cocoazip does not delete the temporay zip files which it creates in the /private/tmp folder. It would be good if it could do that in the next version.
