This final version of 4.0 seems quite snappy and I am glad they made the Tab Bar default to the bottom. In the terminal you should be able to change it back to the top like in the beta. Personally, I prefer it below the Toolbar.

I made a suggestion that they should have a $4.99 plan for 20 or 25 GB of storage. 50 GB might be much for some people. Dropbox is better than having a stupid USB key or using file transfer to copy files from one computer to the other. Sweet!

MACINTOSH SAUCE  RipIt is the best DVD copying application I have seen yet. The user interface is so simple - something I appreciate a lot.

So far, it is copying everything I have thrown at it. Impressive! After trying it once last night I purchased it right away, and it is worth every penny IMHO.

Remember to only use this to copy DVDs you already OWN. I just want to have a backup of all of them so I can watch them on my Mac Pro or MacBook (getting one soon).

Quite a while ago, I purchased Picturesque 1.0 when they were offering lifetime free upgrades for a small additional fee (quite reasonable actually).

Yesterday, I accidentally purchased an upgrade to Picturesque 2.0 for $12.95. I had completely forgot that I was going to get a free upgrade. This morning, in my e-mail, there was a free upgrade serial number. :)

Just a while ago, I e-mailed Zac and he promptly refunded the accidental upgrade purchase through PayPal.

When companies act like this one, that tells me they actually care about their customers. I wish more companies were like this...

Today, I upgraded to version 5.0 since Yazsoft has made amends to all MacHeist II customers. I appreciate that very much and the fact that they have given us a free second serial number for version 5.0. This free serial number is now being used on my new black MacBook. :)

Yazsoft has gone even further to give all MacHeist II customers a free upgrade to version 6.0. That made me rethink my previous harsh comments.

I am running version 5.0 right now and it is stable and looks much better than version 4.0 IMHO.

Recently, I purchased the MacHeist II bundle. Note: I always purchase the MacHeist bundles as well as MacUpdate bundles. Until today...

Speed Download 4 was at version 4.1.19 as of yesterday. Now Yazsoft stops all updates for v4.1.19 and releases version 5.0, thus ending any possible software fixes for version 4.0. The software is not even at the end of its life cycle with version 4.1.19.

This is very deceptive and I have had enough of it, hence why I am saying something here. IMO, I think ALL MacHeist II customers should get a free upgrade to version 5.0 since Yazsoft feels like ripping us off as consumers.

MACINTOSH SAUCE  A couple weeks ago I purchased CoverStream and found a few problems. Yesterday, I decided to e-mail Fabian (the developer) about them and he releases a bug update today. I am very impressed! :)

CoverStream is nice in the way that it uses Apple's Cover Flow to access your music, without having to go directly through iTunes. I love it!

This is a wonderful app that I now use every day since I discovered it here on MacUpdate.

MACINTOSH SAUCE  After trying this new version of iCab out for a few hours earlier, I decided to buy it to support the developer. There are some really nice features in this browser that other ones do not have or have them but they are limited.

The one thing I really like is the preferences - it's very customisable. It has not crashed at all and appears to be quite stable on my Mac Pro. Also, it seems to be as fast as Safari and OmniWeb (which I also purchased to support the developer).

I mentioned to my wife that a new version of iCab was released and she instantly remembered using iCab back in the Mac OS Classic days. We used to use it a lot until Safari came out. Since Safari needs some serious work, we are now going to use the new version of iCab.

Safari lacks two things which makes me so mad sometimes: no text under toolbar buttons and no add/delete tab buttons in the toolbar. I like text under my toolbar buttons, when I am looking up at the toolbar I like to see text. Safari doesn't support this. I also like the add/delete tab buttons in the toolbar. Another thing that Safari lacks. I don't understand why Apple doesn't give people the choice of having text under their toolbar buttons or not. I am sure it is not difficult to program for this feature.

iCab X (Pro) 4.0 is quite a nice program IMO. Congratulations to the developer for updating this browser.

MACINTOSH SAUCE  I just want to make a small comment on Graphic Converter.

This program is the best graphic conversion program that I have ever used. I have used GC since I started using a Mac with Mac OS 7.5.5. Now that I actually have some disposable income, I recently paid the registration fee for this wonderful application. I pay for all Shareware applications that I find I cannot do without.

The interface may indeed need an update, but instead of complaining about it here, why don't you email the programmer? That would make more sense IMO.
