Bonjour Mounter
Dec 2 2008
*....

MAC OS X 4EVER  Worthless waste of time. As others have said, you can click "Mount All" all day long and nothing will happen.

I tried AFP only to one of my PowerMac's running Leopard, and to one of my AirPort Extreme's shared drives.

I quit after it didn't work at all. I didn't bother trying SMB.

It's too bad, it is a great idea and I wish it had worked.

I am disappointed. Maybe there will be an update...

SANDRO NOEL  To bad you've had a bad experience .

it seems that the procedure I use to mount the drives does not like to have server names with spaces or apostrophe in the name.

I've reproduced the problem on my servers, and I'm working on a fix.

MAC OS X 4EVER  But it has stopped working. Sure it works as usual, but this means no more bug fixes or updates.

I have had 2 recent AVI's that stopped at ½ way of being converted.

I sure hope that if the author has given up that he releases the code to SourceForge for someone to take over.

Anybody know of a comparable app? I have tried many and have found no good ones.

MAC OS X 4EVER  I have been relying on this for a long time to convert all of my content to mp4 for my home media system.

Now that it's gone, is there anything else as good?

And don't say ffmpeg. I know it was a front end for that, but a damn good one.

I need a GUI tool that convert multiple files to my specifications as this one did.

I sure hope he at least releases it to SourceForge.

Thanks while it lasted.

MAC OS X 4EVER  WARNING: Absolute garbage (virus???).

I was excited at first. Mac & PC would be great!

I launched it, selected new database, and tried to enter a password.

I immediately got the spinning ball of death, but worse than usual. This application is so bad it locks the computer up beyond recovery. There is no way to force quit it, switch to Activity Viewer, nothing!

I had to reboot.

Don't even think of trying this garbage!

I am running a MacBook Pro 2.6GHZ, 4GB RAM, Leopard with ALL OS updates.

I was even brave enough to try again after the reboot.

MISTAKE!

This time it took a password, the main screen came up, but then everything was dead. And I do mean everything!

No spinning ball, but mouse clicks have no effect. I cannot use the keyboard, everything except for being able to move the mouse is totally frozen!

Even the clock stopped.

This is a virus/trojan, or just the worst untested POS ever developed.

It's not even Alpha quality!

Consider yourselves warned.

I would love to see an app like this cross platform working, but it was obviously written on another platform and is a poor attempt at porting it over.

I will be sticking with 1Password.

FOLLEREC  Have you ever thought that it may be that there's something wrong with your computer? Have you ever attempted to ask for support in their forums? If there was a serious problem with this, and, as you accuse, that it is a virus/trojan, a lot more people would be complaining. Considering that you get the software for free, you seriously should consider helping out by troubleshooting your issues and see if it's really KeePassX's issues or simply your computer. Considering that the software is open source, I highly doubt it is a virus/trojan as you accuse.

Running on a MacBook with Leopard 10.5.5, all latest updates. No issues whatsoever. Happily using my password file with both a Windows machine and a Linux machine. While the interface could be better on a Mac, this is probably the most secure you can get in a password manager.

MAC OS X 4EVER  Just as broken as before.

They list that they fixed the right-click crash, but I still get the spinning ball of death and Activity Viewer says it's not responding and taking 95-97% CPU.

I have to force quit it.

All I did was load the app, clicked on the menu bar, then right-clicked on the clipboard window as it says to do to get to the options.

This kills it EVERY TIME.

I have yet to see it work.

I will try another update or two as I see them until I give up.

My MacBook Pro is totally stable and nothing else locks up.

I have 4GB of RAM and Leopard with ALL updates.

MAC OS X 4EVER  Might actually be useful if you could give it a watch list to quit rather than everything.

I have been wanting an app for a long time to watch and quit specific processes and apps like MDS. I would love to prevent that damn thing from running all the time. One step further would be watch hours. Only quit apps between 2 am and 6 am for example.

MAC OS X 4EVER  Looks good, but doesn't work at all.

I right-click on the clipboard window as it says to do or more options, and it crashes every time.

It freezes up with the spinning wheel ad I have to force quit it.

MAC OS X 4EVER  I ave been using Drop DMG and I tried this one once. It didn't work at all.

It doesn't support Drag & Drop to the program's icon.

This is a necessary feature and huge oversight.

There is no way to add the icon to the toolbar on the Finder windows.

Hopefully they will correct this and I will try it again later.

MAC OS X 4EVER  I can't believe so many users are oblivious to FireFox.

Safari sucks. There are no plugins for it and you have no control over it.

FireFox can do just about anything.

It's a plus that it doesn't work with Safari!

Maybe it will help new users that don't know any better to discover FireFox.

MAC OS X 4EVER  I hate companies that pull that crap on their licensed users.

If I buy a new Mac, why should I have to re-buy all of my registered software?

Try Drop-DMG.

I have owned it for quite a while.

It's a good program.

I was just looking at this one to see what it did differently.

I will avoid it after seeing what they did to you.

MAC OS X 4EVER  Warning; Scam Artist!

I paid for the program and was not sent a valid activation code.

The author has completely ignored dozens of emails and the retailer, Esellerate has refused to refund.

I had to to file a fraud report at the bank to reverse the charge.

The author is not in the U.S. so it is doubtful that they will get in any trouble.

Avoid what I have been put through.

Do not use Esellerate, they charge your card but don't back up your purchase in any way. They will not process a refund and just tell you to contact the author.

In this case, where the author is an obvious thief, I am hung out to dry.

They probably figure most people will go away for such a small amount of money.

They probably end up with most of what they steal.

I buy a lot of Mac software and support a lot of shareware and the Mac community, but I will never use Esellerate again!

It is sad when scam artists take advantage of those of us who actually pay for software.

I have tried multiple times to activate it with the codes they sent, and it simply will not work. I copied and pasted the information, there is 0% chance of error on my part.

The author completely ignores all email attempts.

I have nowhere else to turn other than reversing the charge at the bank.

FYI, this software isn't even on VersionTracker, and MacUpdate may want to remove it.

8OO8  If even entering the registration number manually doesn't work, try trashing the app(including all its files) and redownloading/reinstalling it.

I've often experienced the same problem that you're having, with various apps, and a fresh download/reininstall solved the problem.
