BUSHWHACK I would beg to differ... I was hesitant at first when I first installed it as well, considering the hack softwares that messed up installations to Leopard from Tiger as well... But I have been using an modded scrollbars file that is an iTunes mod to remove the hideous and seriously outdated Aqua scrollbars. It makes the OS look so much cleaner. I have not had issues with that even through an upgrade from Leopard to SL. This is a welcome mod as well. Not only does it mod the outdated UI's scrollbars to something a little bit unified with the rest of the OS, but it gets rid of the Aqua drop down menu items and buttons and really helps update the look of Mac to something a little bit modern day and not late 90's. This version offers an uninstall so if you don't like it you can take it out. Also as always you should back up your data before installing beta software or any software and I have an active backup of Time Machine. So far, this software has run flawlessly for me and really has made me like the more modern & sophisticated UI it gives the Mac OS. (Version 3.0B1)

For those who like the same effects (not very far from the results of PZ) but a whole lot cheaper (free). Try this: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/31807/imageenlarger I've tested it and the results look very decent. The price is $0.00 I still love PZoom tho! (Version 3.0.2)

FARIBORZ The same here. I also applied for a new code and received it within a minute but it didn't work although it was completely different from my original serial number. I wrote to the customer service and was told that there's an upgrade fee to pay. It's strange that one has to go through a new activition system that at the end offers a code that doesn't function! Cheers, Fariborz AMIRSHAHI - Verona (Italy) (Version 2.0.1)

UMIJIN I have the same problem, but customer support did not respond to me. There shouldn't be a paid upgrade - the site clearly states (or at least did) that the product offered free product to owners of previous versions. (Version 2.0.1)

PulpMotion | Jan 20 2009 |
UMIJIN First, the support staff contacted me (10 days after), but his explanation was a bit vague . He stated that the serial number only worked with v1.62, and that if I wanted a license for v.2 I it was available on their store link (which isn't currently working). I'm annoyed that he didn't say directly that I would need to purchase an upgrade and how much it would cost. Second, the download page which MU linked to uses vague wording (at this time) and doesn't clearly say version 1 users need to purchase the version 2 upgrade. It says this: "If you bought software with us, this is where you can always find the latest version: simply use the Serial Number that came with your purchase to unlock the downloaded product." This seems to suggest that any serial number will work with the latest version of the app. Nowhere I can find is there a clear statement, "Version 1.x license owners need to purchase an upgrade for a license to version 2.X". I'd gladly pay an upgrade to any app that is useful, but unclear upgrade policies are annoying. (Version 2.0.1)

DOUG S. OK, I'm going to jump in here as a web designer. We of the web profession can say more than any other user that browsers are the core of our lives and as such we tend to have a unique and useful perspective on them. As such, there is very little about Safari that is inferior to other browsers especially Firefox. Key among them is as a browser Safari is faster and more standards complaint than all major comers, excluding WebKit nightly builds and the latest version of Opera. In terms of features it has all the major features of a fully-functioning browser. It doesn't have the add-ons and such that Firefox offers but for that lacking ability it makes up for in speed and power. Safari is a brilliant option for a browser and for the average person is actually a better choice than Firefox as many of the things Firefox can claim over Safari are things only power users, a small minority, need or even use. Besides, at least it's not IE. Even the latest versions of IE8 are crap! What I wouldn't give for a fully standards compliant browser from Microsoft... (Version 3.2.1)

MAC MAIL Please don't mind me say a few words here. I know half of you will disagree but the other half will agree. I love Apple (Mac). That's the only computer I use, other than at work that they all geared up with Piece of C... But honestly, I never like Safari from day one. I've been updating it just because it is there. Safari is not very website/s friendly. Updating it is just something to do, but ever since the version 3.0.4, whatever I updated were all craps. Either they are not working, or crashing or quits when I close the page and so on, and so on... There are so many other browsers out there that we can use and they are even faster than Safari and much more stable than Safari. It's not necessary is the best thing or we have to use the things that come with the package. Right? If you own and drive a Mercedes, is it a must to use a Mercedes key chain or a Mercedes wallet? There are 2 applications which came with OSX that I don't use (I should say I don't like to use at all) are Safari and Apple Mail. Well, life is full of choices. Some like it cold, and some like it hot, just like us choosing Mac over Pee...........see...........!@#$?&*......What? That's my 2 cents. (Version 3.2.1)

BALTHAMOS Then use other browsers? Nobody is forcing you to use Safari or Mail. Most people like native applications as opposed to "portable" ones because of their tightness with the OS. Cocoa and Carbon applications both have their advantages and disadvantages, but I think the point gets across better in layman's terms; just think of food. You can go to McDonald's basically anywhere in the world, and they all serve (generally) the same things and all (generally) look the same. So if travel to Italy, you can walk into McDonald's and order the same thing you could get in the States. But if you are in Italy, you might as well have some authentic Italian food, even if it isn't your favorite. Why? Because you can't get authentic Italian food in the States, or anywhere else except Italy. Local, authentic food has subtleties and nuances that fast-food just doesn't have. But as you may very well know, preparing a tasty meal takes a very long time relative to saying "number 5" at the drive through. But, you may hate Italian food, which is entirely acceptable too. Just thought I'd give you a little "food for thought" ;). If you want a little harder material, just look up "code portability" or something similar; this is a very common question of tradeoffs and has many different angles. (Version 3.2.1)

In general, most viewers don't know what that 'i' is for. At least maybe make it as an option in the settings while the slide show is being made. Great software tho! (Version 1.1.1)

MAC MAIL That was a prompt response. In fact, lots of Mac users are using Mozilla base email. Apple Mail is not that popular coz it's almost impossible to customize the email to the senders' tastes. For myself, the only time I use Apple Mail is, when I want to bounce a email. Thanks anyway! (Version 1.0)

MAC MAIL The audio sounds really crappy. The QuickTime player only showing in AppleMail but not in other mail app. It's not very versatile indeed. It doesn't worth the $15.00 That's my 2 cents! (Version 1.0)

ANARCHYSOFT Thank you for your comment! Choosing the default encoding was pretty tricky as we really wanted to balance small file size, quick compression, and high quality as well as possible. In light of your comment, we reviewed the audio quality and agreed that it should be increased. The audio quality has now been doubled from a 24 kHz sample frequency to 48 kHz. This should be more than enough to get high quality sound reproduction while maintaining small file size. By a very large margin most OS X users exclusively use Apple Mail and that is what this program is designed to use. If Thunderbird, Eudora, or another e-mail client becomes very popular in the OS X community, we will definitely look at supporting it for sending the e-mails. Thanks again for your comment! MAC MAIL It's not a bad idea, but it needs to refine a lot in preferences to be able to control (smoothness) all the roughness when writing. It's so difficult to write nicely (handwriting looks like little kids writing). I won't use it until it's fixed. That's my 2 cents. (Version 1.0)

MAC MAIL Totally don't know what this application is good for. If anyone wants to customize any email (like I always do), it can be done easily with Thunderbird, SeaMonkey or any Mozilla mail application. Actually, they can do way more than this just another small time Massive Mail. That's my 2 cents! (Version 0.9.3)

Eudora | Dec 19 2007 |
MAC MAIL Use this with cautions. If you've been using Thunderbird, make sure you backup your Thunderbird (the whole folder) before you run this stupid Eudora. If you don't backup, don't expect that you can come back to T-Bird coz Eudora is sucking everything out of your T-Bird and leave you everything blank. After all, this Eudora is full of bugs. Totally crap. Just be very careful. (Version 8.0b2)

Apple Mac OS X | Nov 30 2007 |
MAC MAIL Very disappointing with Leopard. The update 10.5.1 didn't do any good. Repair permissions is still taking forever. Seems like Leopard is geared for those who's using newer Mac. It sucks up a lot of ram just to run start up without running any major application. It sucks up about 6-700 MB of ram out of my 1.5 GB in my Quicksilver 1.5 Ghz. Maybe Apple is just using new software to kick people to into buying new hardware (newer Mac). I've left my Tiger drive untouched as my main operating volume. Leopard is only installed in my 2nd drive for testing. Honestly, I'm going to delete the Leopard for good. Leopard is not for me...at least for the time being. Apple is losing ground with this crappy OS 10.5 That's my 2 cents. (Version 10.5.1)
