MAC COGNOSCENTI  I should add that I am aware of the auto-update capability, but what other data is being sent?

Letterbox

MAC COGNOSCENTI  Letterbox does what it is supposed to do, however it seems every time I bring up mail, Letterbox sends unknown information without my permission to harnly.net. I caught Letterbox doing this via Lil' Snitch and banned Letterbox from communicating.

To the developer, please explain what data you are getting from Letterbox and why you haven't disclosed this to users.

AARONHARNLY  The packets you're seeing are from the *optional* check for new versions, which also optionally sends anonymous configuration information (what version of Mail, your processor speed, and screen size). The first time you run Mail with Letterbox installed, it asks whether you want to enable the version check, and whether to send the anonymous information.

You can disable it by opening the Letterbox preferences, going to the "Updates" tab, and unchecking the box.

Hope that addresses your concerns!

TIAGO  And if it doesn't, one can always look for help at the CIA, FBI or (if you're connected) CTU... Maybe Jack Bauer can look into it... Such a conspiracy... :)

MAC COGNOSCENTI  The Lil" Snitch bug is finally squashed with this update.

Otherwise Ottomatic continues to be a favorite of both young and old in this family.

Atta' boy, Brian!

MAC COGNOSCENTI  Intel version of Adobe Reader 8.0 works without problems for me so far. Faster, smoother and better feature set than previous versions.

MUDFLAPPER  Do we have to worry about Intel/PPC with widgets? I thought they were just glorified web pages?

MAC COGNOSCENTI  Pzizz 2.0 works well - no surprises under the hood.

I did have a minor issue when the updated licence keys didn't work, but Pzizz technical support replied quickly with updated licence keys which did work.

Thank you, Brainwave for a useful product and excellent product support!
