"This isn't a streamer for internet radio"

But it _is_ a shell for the internet streams of land-based radio stations, right?

Any chance this could be made a bit more compatible with other tagging apps, namely Quick Tag? I would like to use QT for most, but look to this one for suggestions. I'd rather be able to control the format of the tags (<> instead of {}), place them in the grouping section, and mark them off with something like . Also, is a pkg installer really necessary for this?

This puts Safari's webapps to shame. Custom icons, cover flow previews, the ability to change the user agent signature, amazing URL shrinking and revealing, making embedded or menu bar apps, everything. I made one Safari webapp, and trashed it almost immediately. It's like using a Fluid SSB with zero features.

That's not as good at all. This has built-in support for Greasemonkey scripts, the easily customizable plugins, and tons more features. Fluid's SSBs put Safari's to shame.

The plugins part of the preferences has disappeared in some of my apps, so I can no longer edit the options for the thumbnail plugin.

Oh, and a bit of advice: get Mouseposé with this.

This app is great. I bought Snapz Pro X from the MacHeist II bundle, but I just can't get into it. I don't like that you can't preview movies, mainly. This seems so much easier to use, has never crashed on me, and seems on par with Snapz in terms of features. A bit costly in my opinion, though.

I'm on a MacBook and searching takes forever as well. I narrowed it so it would only search for artists and the problem stopped though.

Amazing app. Lets me rip to whatever format I've ever needed, never crashed, and it's free. It finds album art, checks MusicBrainz, etc. It's no EAC, but it's by far the best option on a Mac.

Last.fm isn't working for me at all. I constantly get notifications that scrobbling failed.

PearLyrics? It's dead and doesn't have a UB.

Doesn't work on Leopard! 10.5.1 on a 2.16 gHz Macbook with all the latest upgrades. Please make it work (if possible)! I miss it!

This version has been having problems with verifying data. Occasionally it will lose a fairly large percentage of a download if I quit while the download is in progress. Also, it will verify the data of many completed torrents on launch

Why wouldn't they? There is even an "Icons" category.

They're probably the same torrent with a different file name. Do they download the same file?

Thank God; Transmission 1.0 is finally here! Most of the visible changes appear to be interface changes Download speeds seem about the same, but connecting to peers seems a bit slower. Quitting is now accompanied by a "Quitting" tag on the icon, an upload/download ratio is shown, and of course, the entire interface has been made very futuristic looking. Can't say I'm quite a fan, but whatever; it doesn't confuse or mislead. There is also the ability to add color tags to downloads. All in all, a decent release. At least no functionality is broken like in...ahem...0.95...ahem, but I loved the old interface.

I know, and I appreciate that. I'm just one more VirtueDesktops fan who doesn't want development to cease.

"Reading between the lines..."

Hmm, I sense sarcasm!

From the website:

"I am not picking up development of VirtueDesktops again, but there were a couple of really good patches submitted that address serious crashes."

Even if he isn't picking up the development, clearly there is enough demand and enthusiasm out there that someone decided to pick up the slack. My post was kind of an open wish to whoever submitted the patches.

Great functionality to add to Tiger (and probably Leopard; I've never used Spaces)! I'm just learning the ropes and I'm beginning to customize more and more, but I've run into a few problems. Switching desktops while Quicktime is in fullscreen mode drags the window into the new desktop. Also, in the Customize Desktops window, none of my desktops show up to be edited/removed. Also, some of the items in the menu just flat out stop working after a while. While typing this, I tried to access the "About," screen, but clicking on the choice in the menu did absolutely nothing. All in all, good but buggy. Please keep up development! I would love to donate, even.

Best application ever, and the library of plugins makes it get better and better. Those of you who think it's simply an application launcher or think that Butler can compete should probably take another look.

When it gets the album art, does it embed it in the file or save it to a folder?

iTunes and a free artwork widget can do most of this. What does this do that's any different? Does it actually _embed_ the artwork in the file, unlike iTunes? I would pay about $5 for that.

My problem exactly. The files don't even show up when they are being downloaded.

I keep losing all of my partial downloads in this build. I spent a few hors downloading a torrent, but stopped at 75%. When I quit and came back to my computer, the files that I didn't finish downloading didn't exist.

iEatBrainz is far easier to use, but this app has been more reliable. Occasionaly, iEatBrainz just stops working for weeks. I will admit, though, Jaikoz is pretty slow.

Love the encryption, but it takes ages to verify the download, plus I'm getting about two to three times the file size in the "DL Failed" category.

I also have the problem of it randomly quitting. It seems to do that when my Wifi goes out temporarily.

Also, I wish I could have it start at login without putting it into my dock. Or am I just missing something?

Can't beat the price, and the quality is great. The interface is so much better than the 0.x versions. Seriously, it's gorgeous. The two icons in the dock glitch seems to have been fixed. My only problem was a few of my channels not being available, but that's nothing to worry about for now. I can live without one or two of them.
