I solved it! I found on your web site an older version, the one I used before installing the update, Safari Cookies 0.8.2 and made sure it was installed in the InputManagers folder. I dragged to the trash the newer Safari Cookies that was in /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins to the trash, restarted Safari and it showed up. *Phew!*

I had tried this before and still don't know why this time it worked.

And the other plugins I use are Saft, GlimmerBlocker, Glims, 1Password, Safari AdBlock and SafariBlock. As you can see, I hate ads. :-D

So I'm only going to upgrade Safari Cookies once I install Snow Leopard, I'm not touching this one before that.

MACHEADCASE  So I updated to Safari Cookies 1.2.1 (previous install was 0.82, I think) because I got a notification from inside Safari that there was a newer version.

I got an error from the installer so I decided to quit Safari and install it manually. I used the uninstaller and then before updating, I read the "Read Me" saying I needed to install the 64-bit SIMBL version (latest version I saw was SIMBL-0.9.7a on the developer's web site) but this version is for Snow Leopard only.

I tried installing Safari Cookies 1.2.1 anyway since it comes with the Leopard version of SIMBL, 0.8.2 as well as the SIMBL 0.9.6c Snow Leopard version. But now it doesn't work anymore. Safari does not see it. I looked in the Input Managers folder (path: /Library/InputManagers) and there is nothing there except the SIMBL folder and the other Safari plugins I use like 1Password, Glims, etc.

However Safari Cookies 1.2.1 does show up in /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins just like SafariStand but neither work, they don't appear when I use Safari like they never were installed.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Safari Cookies 3 times to no avail. I can't seem to backtrack and reinstall the previous Safari Cookies version either. I really liked this plugin and wish to find a way to get it to work again, this is very frustrating.

Just to make sure, I even restarted my iMac but still no joy. Is there anything else I can try to get it back?

MACHEADCASE  I too am having the Flash plugin problems with this latest version of SafariStand even though I never used or installed Safari 4. The incompatibility happened out of the blue: am moving my stuff because I got a brand new iMac today and installed all the latest software I used on the iMac G5.

Reverting back to the previous version of SafariStand (3.1L162) solved the problem for me though.
