MAC0852 This software is kinda pointless. Why do you need an application to help you download the FLV files from Youtube, DailyMotion, etc. when they already download to this folder? /private/var/tmp/folders.501/TemporaryItems/ Just browse to a video, wait until it's fully downloaded, go to the path above using Shift-Command-G, copy the file wherever you want, name it what you want with a .flv extension. And why transcode flv files to Quicktime (which makes the video quality worse than it already is), when you can easily view the FLV files in their native codec with this free Quicktime component? http://perian.org/ (Version 0.6.1)

CHIMOOSOFT The point of the software is to save people the trouble of having to go hunt down movies and to simplify the conversion to H.264 formats for the iPod and Apple TV (flv files won't play on these devices unless you feel like hacking them). If you want to do it the hard way, be my guest. Both methods are free. ;-) (Version 0.6.1)

MAC0852 This application does not support PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol.) My Canon PowerShot SD800-IS will not show up as a mass storage device and can't be configured to do so. The manual suggests that when dealing with cameras like this, the user get a card reader and remove the card from the camera each time they wish to download the images. The inconvenience factor this presents is a sufficient barrier for me. Unless PTP is added, I won't be using this product. I'll use "A Better Finder Rename" to give my images the names I want them to have. (Version 2.2.03)

JONLINK I'm confused. The file is a zipped installer (pkg). It installs iLAS to the applications folder and a seperate applscript to the iTunes scripts folder to activate it (though you don't really need that). I've encoded a few CD's and a playlist with no encoder errors. iLAS uses the Lame universal binary from rarewares and that's been used plenty without trouble. What error are you getting? I can't even begin to fix things with what you've said. (Version 0.9)

Type the following at the prompt: open /etc/cups/cups-pdf.conf This will open the file in your default text editor. Edit the file to so that the default location is to your liking. I found the line I needed to edit at around line 43. I changed so that the folder is in my Documents folder instead of the desktop by changing line 43 to the following: Out ${HOME}/Documents/cups-pdf/ You could also change the name of the default folder from cups-pdf to something else if you really wanted to. GHETTOPIA I wholeheartedly would advise against using the previously mentioned solution using Terminal. I tried it myself, and it reset my Mac user password. When I restarted, it never made it to the login screen; instead it stated: No such file or directory My password was deleted! I had to boot my computer in Target Disk Mode and use a friend's computer to copy my /etc folder from a backup on my external hard drive back to my computer. Then, I had to create a new account on my computer, log in to it, and recreate my original account. I'm still having major issues with all my saved passwords. Apple's website listed how to delete my old Keychains so that I'm not constantly prompted for the former account password that doesn't exist, but now none of my Keychains are being saved at all. DEFINITELY not worth the time compared with simply dragging files out of the cups-pdf folder onto the Desktop. (Version 2.4)

And evidently little work is put in by the developer these days, which hardly helps matters. That is why iVisit has next to no users anymore, and is now superseded by programs like camfrog ( www.camfrog.com ) which is far more advanced compared with ivisit. Logged in iVisit users = 600 at best. Logged in Camfrog users = 70'000+. So they must be doing something right that ivisit clearly is not. While im here: MacJoker. The joke is on you as it is obvious you are directly associated with ivisit too, just like cowzilla, as no users would be retarded enough to give this rubbish 5 stars. Also check the prefs in the loader that the right directory is found (try with an absoulte path here if you're unsure). The game was tested on 10.4.5 and works nicely here... we also didn't discovered problems on 10.3.9 (though there was not much testing done here).
