I doubt your computer needs to be shut down if the app is not working. You should be able to force quit the app.

Can you tell me what is not working? please send an e-mail to AppManager@marcusfamily.info and I will try to resolve your issue.

MONKEYJUNKEY  I have the same issue. MBP 4.1 2,4GHz Intel Core2Duo, Mac OS X 10.5.6 here.

Upon starting the app I get the waterball of death and have to force shut down of the app.

As a licensed user of iRecordNow you should have been sent a license key for iVeZeen 2.0 about a week ago. Please write to sales@boinx.com if that has not happened.

To clarify: Boinx iVeZeen 2.0 is a "big" upgrade from iRecordNow with major new features. Nevertheless we decided to make it a free upgrade.
