MJRAS  This Asterisk appears, when you start creating a text, but don't enter anything. Whenever leaving an empty text box, it creates this asterisk, allowing to spot them easily.

As for unexpected (?) quits. Maybe just wait for our upcoming release 3.9. We are using Cenon extensively on Apple and hardly ever encounter a crash.

However, if you can provide a crash log (just email to the Cenon-Support), we would be very thankful.

As for adding features to the HPGL export. There are two instant options to get velocity commands and make Cenon able to drive a laser engraver:

1.Improve the HPGL export of Cenon. That is possible because you have access to the source codes. We will gladly add improvements to future releases. The HPGL export was primarily designed for exchange with other applications.

2. Get a license of our commercial software Cenon CAM. Cenon CAM is a professional manufacturing software, adding many more features including output to a large range of machines, also engravers. Also take a look at our single-line fonts especially designed for fast engraving.
