LUCKY8  I guess I won't be using this, even though I thought I liked it, and I have a licence. I had a hard time getting it to work however, and after I spent hours figuring it out wrote to the developer to tell him about it (with details). Just got an answer: "Glad you got it working."

Just so you know how this guy treats his customers.

Meander
Jul 23 2008

LUCKY8  I do hope Meander still is actively developed. There is an annoying bug (mentioned in the developer forum) that still is not fixed. The program crashes when one tries to add distance markers (using the latest OS and Meander versions on an intel mac).

LUCKY8  I enjoy BeLight software, although use Pages for layout purposes. Perhaps I should look into this as well.

LUCKY8  I've been looking for something like this! If it works well on different sites, I'm getting this one for sure. Safari integration is a great idea.

LUCKY8  I've already bought PhotoPrinto and BrowseBack (other SmileOnMyMac products) - and it's true that Discus isn't quite cutting it any more. Guess I should try this!

LUCKY8  I do need something like this - and the price is right! There are some alternatives out there, but I'm going to try this one out today.

LUCKY8  I remember KM from the Classic era... Was pretty indispensable to me back then. iKey has been my preferred hotkey program more recently, with more options than I'm ever likely to use (and an enormous manual). But I'm going to give KM a spin today for old time's sake!

Tangerine!
Aug 14 2007

LUCKY8  I've been waiting for this one! Smart and beautiful, I prefer this to both BeaTunes and MusicIP (the latter actually destroyed lots of music files for me!). While I think there still is room for improvement in Tangerine, it does what it says with tremendous style.

****.

LUCKY8  It's what I use. Of all the alternatives out there - and I've tried many - I always come back to SizzlingKeys.

The only thing I'm not entirely pleased with, is the lacking configurability of the floating window with its art display - I'd like more text options (to add composer, for instance), as well as the ability make the image much larger. A separate lyrics window with its own hotkey would be neat too!

Oh, and I just bought the entire Yellow Mug bundle - good value, great apps.

LUCKY8  Thank you Itbedave, for pointing this out. I read the forum thread you linked to, and was appalled at how you were treated. I think your concerns are quite valid, and being told off in such a rude way is unforgivable. Regardless of the issue, such callousness is reason enough for me not even to try their software.
