So what's your point? Why are you writing this? What does Mani have to change? I am lost...

"Paradigm of business"? That's funny... pseudo-intellectualism as its finest!

-1 Lock up/hang.

-Bugs on ordering bookmarks (through drag and drop) made me lose some (just disappeared).

-Back button greyed out for some reason (as mentioned by another poster, works sometimes, others it doesn't.

-View in browser button does nothing.

-Using small sized toolbar icons works, except for refresh button?

-Default transcript window is too large and rolls past desktop cut-off. Upon re-launch it shows up on top (with the same effect).

Now the gripes. Why the list view needs size 12 font is beyond me. A standard 10px font size would have been ideal.

I'm not sure if this one window does it all philosophy (or rather design choice) is going to fly. There is a reason why all other FTP programs are dual window. I sort my files by date and when I update client's websites, it's easy to see what new file I need to upload. I don't think I want to micro-manage through the Finder and then my FTP app. I think this was a very poor design choice by the author.

All in all, I am not sure how much usability testing went into this program (not beta testing, usability testing). After almost 2 years of hype and development, it is still plagued with many of the bugs the betas had and doesn't offer enough bang for my buck. I'll stick with Transmit for now... but competition is always good and wish this product the best... it's just for me right now.

I have used Overflow for a long time and upon its initial release, I was blown away at the interface and general look of the application. I expected great things to come, but was content with what I had.

Over a year later and Overflow still looks the same. It's appearance is now dull and dated. The new features were sparingly added and updates were far and few between (some fixing the same bug over and over; e.g., apps launching in the back). With the release of stacks, Overflow certainly took a hit. But rather than get creative and offers some nifty features, it remains the same, stagnant application.

I support indie developers, but Overflow needs a facelift (perhaps HUD) and something to win me back. Sadly, it doesn't look like anything is in the works for an Overflow v3.0... nothing major in the pipes. I hope the author surprises, but at this point, it just doesn't have enough over stacks to warrant running a separate process to launch some applications.

Version 3.3.3 is really buggy. I have some vector layers that have picked up the nasty habit of stretching horizontally when I try and manipulate some of the points. The undo and redo functions are also really flaky...

This is a really disappointing release. I wanted to go back to my previous version, but apparently the file is not being recognized in 3.1.2... I do production work on this program and while I can stand a few glitches here and there, I can't afford to wrestle with a program to do (what I believe are) very basic functions...

Really upsetting...

Feels like some poor attempt at scamming cash off RPG fans who are almost legally blind (when it comes out of "beta testing"). I say legally blind, because that is what you would have to be to swallow these graphics.

No matter what a game has, if it falls flat in the graphic department, it simply falls flat.

This "game" is a sad attempt by a team who doesn't even know the meaning of QA. Sure the game runs (not very well), but looks just too damn awful to even touch. I suspect that 95% of these guys' potential user base will recoil at the very sight of the screenshot!

Nothing to see here folks, nothing to see AT ALL!

I would love to see some improvements to Overflow. I wonder why the dock icon has to be so oddly programmed and just doesn't simply use a .icns file? Also, it would be great if the actual program had a facelift. A HUD interface would make it a lot more polished and appealing (something like CoverSutra).

I very much love the program, but feel it is not very refined. I will continue to use it and support the author, but hope he has some plans on making it more efficient and more polished :)

Great work on an App that should have been included with OS X ;)

Don't keep proprietary programs like this alive. Stop using .sit and .sitx archive types and use the built in .zip compression tool in Mac OS X.

People shouldn't have to pay to archive and unarchive your compressed files!

And that's why PCs all have antivirus software... There absolutely no reason to run something like this on a Mac anymore than there is reason to run one on any Linux distro.

This program proves one thing: if its there, people will install it.

This is about as useful as a program that periodically informs you that you are using your computer, but only when you are indeed using your computer.

The authors will certainly go down in history as the most superfluous Mac program of all time...

It seems the developers maxim is aesthetics first, functionality second.

After burning a handful of coaster that were deemed to be burned successfully, I have lost trust in the program. My greatest fear is burning a disc and coming back to it at a later time to find that I cannot retrieve the data. I also do not have the time or the wanting to verify the contents manually after a burn.

The program looks great, and the smoke is a neat feature, but who watches their program burn a disc. I set my burn process and continue with my work (or play). It sucks resources that I would rather have put to better use. Sadly it seems as if the smoke is the biggest selling point.

It does have some genuinely attractive features (e.g., spanning), but it has many other genuinely less attractive problem areas (the small window size--especially on those of us using high resolution monitors--the backend burning problems, and others).

I could not recommend the program for the price they are asking.

Every now and then you get a program that comes out of left field, doesn't deliver anything Earth shattering or revolutionary, and embeds itself on your system, to be used on a daily basis.

Unarchiver is such a program.

A small open source (un)archiving tool that handles a plethora of file types... and does so elegantly and with simplicity.

You won't find any bells and whistles here. No groundbreaking, revolutionary eyecandy. But what you will find is a solid program that does what it is supposed to.

It may crash now and then. It may not support that one elusive archive format, but it's still under development. And for all those that deal in open source already know, is something entirely special in its own right.

Let me congratulate the developer of this program and encourage those that use and feel the same was as I do, to speak up and let the developer know how much his work is being appreciated.

You have got to be kidding. I might as well help that guy in Africa get his dad's funds out of the country...

Total scam. Free alternatives and the program has about 5 lines of code... if you count comments...

Pathetic attempt to try and get our hard earned cash. Do yourself a favour and save your money.

This guy should be blacklisted!

I appreciate the program, but the author has had how long to come up with a Universal version? Even reading some of the bug reports/problems makes me wonder how well this guy can actually program.

It looks like the latest one doesn't even open.

AppZapper is prettier, works better, cheaper (because of free updates for life), and doesn't lock up.

Sorry, but gotta recommend it before this thing.

Why add a UB version? If 10.3 and 10.4 have it natively, then this is for <10.2, which are only PPC.

Ummm, helloooo.

Applications/Utilities/Network Utility.

Does everything and more and its FULLY WORKING AND FREE and you dont need to download anything.

Seriously, why not put your coding skills to good use rather than trying to duplicate; innovate!

Excellent program. Not without it's faults but if development continues, this will certainly be a "must have." Clean, non-obtrusive, and elegantly done.

Many thanks to the developer.

Personal note: Would love to see Par2 support.

You want money for this mess?

Ladies and gentlemen. The first blind Mac OS programmer. Take a bow.

You should pay me to use this. Now, if you will excuse me, I have to wash out my eyes with vinegar and hopefully try and get past this traumatic experience.

The WORST program I have ever seen to date. Congrats. Who cares how anything works when it looks this bad. You should be banned from your computer!

Why do I have to pay the same as a Windows user that gets a well built native GUI and I have a commandline based PPC program to run on my Intel Mac?

No Thanks!

Not true. SimplyRAR uses a shareware version of RAR where features are crippled (e.g., authentication, etc.).

What the author needs to do is make it a Universal binary.

The program is responsive and loads fine. Then the headaches appear.

A registration screen that prevents the use of the program based on a time interval.

Does not decompress gzip, join files with more than 25 segments, needs to call home to verify serial. I can't even assess if the program meets my needs because there are no features available in the trial version. The author seems to have done a good job at crippling the software enough to make someone NOT want it. All I experience is frustration and that makes me move on to alternatives.

The UI is grotesque. The icons are crude and terrible at the same time. There is no aesthetic appeal to this piece of software. Even a blind person could not stomach to use this program. So where is my $20 USD going? Certainly not into QA.

Pass this one. Much of the integral structure is freeware (par2, unrar, tar, etc.) and PPC coded. The interface may be Universal, but that says little on the speed of joining or decompressing...which I might have been able to test if I wasn't locked out of it.

Terrible way to try and scam $20 from hard working people. Don't expect this one to win awards or look good on your system. Just terrible.

Can't wait for PAR2 support. This brings together all the various programs I have on my system to unrar, deal with par2 files, etc. When it supports par2 recovery, I can finally ditch MacPAR.

A predictive space saving report feature would be very welcome. You are notified of how much space you saved after deleting the language/keyboard/arch you selected, but not informed before hand. If possible, it would be helpful to include a feature to report how much space you WILL save before you have deleted anything.

Good program otherwise.
