LAWRENCEDUDLEY  Sorry to confuse the issue even more - while Wizard Drongo is correct in thinking that we use the iPhone versions they're not actually that different to the "high quality" files on iPlayer - they're both H.264 at very similar bitrates.

HOWEVER the iPhone version is slightly lower resolution.

If someone figures out the schema and method for the new files we'll incorporate it :-)

Work's well underway with a completely new version which in this release will have a progress bar and all sorts of other niceties. Yay! We're looking at a release sometime over the weekend.

I've got a lot of help from another developer who worked on the now defunct iplayer downloader that was around 6 months ago or so and we're hoping to have multiple downloads in version 3.

LAWRENCEDUDLEY  I wrote an app that is both a lot smaller to download than this one and will disable both the iTunes Store links as well as the Genre Browser - it's free of course :-)

It's not as polished looking as this app but it does one (well, two really) things and it does them perfectly well.
