LANCE_BAKER More often than not, Webmasters choose RealPlayer because it is easy to set it up to block downloads. They may not use it in this manner for all files or for all of their pages, but if they want to block downloading of any of their multi-media files, RealPlayer is tops for that, so it becomes their player of choice. BBC is a classic example of a site that blocks some downloads by using Real files. There is always a way around it, but for Real files, it is not an easy way, so most people give up and are unable to download. Yes, Windows Media Player is much more popular for home computers, but it often has quality problems and isn't easy to setup for blocking downloads. QuickTime is just not popular enough. Most Windows users (not you geeky guys who read this forum, but the unwashed masses) don't install QuickTime unless they buy an iPod.
