KRIS COPPIETERS The problem is that on a Mac you cannot see what version of InDesign was used to create the file. Imagine you are a designer with a few versions of InDesign installed. Some of your customers are using CS2, some use CS3, some use CS4. You receive a customer file. What you don't want to do is to open the file in a higher version of InDesign than your customer has - because when you update the file and send it back, your customer won't be able to open the updated file. So you need to know what version of InDesign was used to create the file, and open in the same version. The suggestion above is not helpful - which icon should you drag it on? InDesignProxy detects the document version and opens it in the proper application version. (Version 1.0.7) |
