KITMOS  I downloaded this but get a Warning message from Safari Leo that:

"There may be a problem with this disk image. Are you sure you want to open it?

Opening this disk image may make your computer less secure or cause other problems."

Don't think I want to take the risk.

KITMOS  I understand what the Intellitype does but is IntelliPoint for? I'm using a MS Wireless Laser Desktop for Mac but not their mouse.

KITMOS  This works fine in Snow Leo. You may have to set Safari at 32 bit but I don't find that hinders anything.

KITMOS  It sounds like you are referring to Version 3.0 which is still in beta and also under nda ( a loose one, admittedly) so best to keep comments on 3.0 to the 1password forum.

KITMOS  This program works great. I know there are many other ways of doing what it does but do it as easily.

Note that in SnoLeo you need to run Safari under 32 bit for this to install and sometimes (in my case, yes) after installing the button and restarting Safari you need to go to View> Customize Toolbar and drag WebSnapper back to the tool bar.

KITMOS  I had to uninstall it as it brought Safari to a crawl. Everything took 5 times as long as it should, if it worked at all.

Backblaze

NILAYP (BACKBLAZE)  Nilay from Backblaze here.

Sorry for your experience. If you try the service and decide not to subscribe, the only way to completely remove the software is to use the uninstaller.

On the Mac, that is found in /Library/Backblaze/UninstallBackblaze.zip.

You can also find it on our website: https://www.backblaze.com/files/UninstallBackblaze.zip

Or in the DMG file you downloaded from us when you installed the product.

Good luck... and even if you choose not to subscribe to Backblaze, please backup your data.

PithHelmet

KITMOS  I did eventually hear back from him but still don't have a resolution as to why PH won't load. He tells me to delete Safari's prefs but this never lasts long.

Part of the problem seems to be he has a email response that requires you to use a ''special'' email address but he doesn't seem to get my emails on that acct.

For the moment I've given up on it and am going to look at GlimmerBlocker as it doesn't have to be changed with every update to Safari.

KITMOS  Worked well for me but I think that $20 is way too much for it. It's a $5 or $10 app imho.

KITMOS  When Pithhelmet works it works fine. However just try and get help from the developer. I have sent dozens of emails to him without a response.

Based on this I would NOT recommend the program.

MUDFLAPPER  That stinks. I've contacted the developer in the past and have received prompt responses. Maybe your emails are being incorrectly flagged as spam? Have you tried emailing him from a different email account?

MUDFLAPPER  I found a temp fix for the Safari 4/PithHelmet incompatibility. I tried it and everything seems to be working a-ok, so far.

1) Quit Safari

2) Navigate to Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/PithHelmet.bundle

3) Right click on PithHelmet.bundle and select Show Package Contents

4) Inside the Contents folder, load Info.plist into TextEdit

5) Scroll to the bottom of the file

6) Find "MaxBundleVersionXXXX" (The XXXX will actually be the current version number, probably 5-something)

7) Replace the current version number (XXXX) with "5528"

8) Restart Safari

KITMOS  This is easily the best password program out there. Superb support, actively updated with a great forum. If you have more than 3 passwords buy this. And if you don't have DIFFERENT passwords for every site than shame on you.
