KEN BURNS EFFECT  The only ones who will tolerate this half Mac half Win user experience are FF users!

Safari and Apple Mail fans can easily save 20 bucks on the introductory price and continue as before.

Did I mention is is ugly, very non-mac and also buggy.

At least fix the first time import function, give it som polish with help screens and so on. First it says Apple Mail mailboxes are imported but they are nowhere to be found. Import again and then no mail in the various boxes and clock (the old one from Classic Mac OS) spins forever.

I had a hunch it would be unpleasant before downloading since I dont like FireFox. Get a Linux version out would make sense but in my opinion Post Box Inc won't make much money out of the Mac market.

I will newer try this pice of half breed again

KEN BURNS EFFECT  Contact support and/or write just a comment!

Giving one star rating due to a faulty installation is just not right.

KEN BURNS EFFECT  Who in their right mind will pay 400 bux for this pathetic looking app when they probably can get a whole night with Barbara Bach for roughly the same amount!

KEN BURNS EFFECT  18 USD for an upgrade, c'mon!

And 30 for a new licence. Seems pretty high for this kind of simple app.

A tenner for upgrade and 18 for for the full monty would be more appropriate.

KEN BURNS EFFECT  This is a beautiful little app!

Many good features and I prefer it over the bloated Path Finder.

KEN BURNS EFFECT  This app is so bug ridden and useless it should still be in beta!

How can anyone in their right mind charge for such crap? How can it be 4.x, to lure someone it is being developed over long time and mature?

I can't even get basic tings like adding a group or item amount to work properly. When quitting it does not ask you to save, let alone doing any auto save.

Utterly useless, save your money and time, it's not worth the download or effort to put in the trash.

KEN BURNS EFFECT  Why not use Overdrive instead!

It's free:-)

**...

KEN BURNS EFFECT  10 dollars (raised from 5) is just too much for this featureless app!

Sure it does make it a bit easier managing login items but is lacking editing of List names, drag n drop between lists etc.

It should still be in 1.x stadium and/or still 5 $. In fact, for such a simple app free would be more appropriate.

As for the competition, a much more feature rich app is indeed available for free. It handles Login Items somewhat different but perhaps in a more easily understood manner. And much more.

The inevitable conclusion, save a tenner - Use TinkerTool.

LCD Scrub
Nov 24 2008
****.

KEN BURNS EFFECT  This Screensaver app is really great!

Works just as advertised. I have a Cinema Display 20 with severe ghost images, two "clouds" and in the menu bar. After running LCD Scrub for many days, shorter or sometimes longer periods each day the ghosting has gotten better, sometimes it is almost gone.

While ghosting comes back so does the scrubbing:-) I let it run as often as there is a work pause, always during daily (nightly) backups and often an hour after backup completed.

I will now install the 1.1 version and see if the new patterns are even more effective for my screen.

The only culprit in this drama is Apple and their occasional lack of quality.

When I get a new (non-Apple) screen I'll probably continue to run LCD Scrub to spare the pixels.

KEN BURNS EFFECT  Does what's advertised!

But gee how ugly. Interface looks like a 1.x app of the Jaguar days. Can't believe it's on the third major revision.

I hope someone else will write a more modern uploader or Yellowmug get their act together.

(Not much hope for YM tough since most, if not all their offerings lack the famous Mac look and feel)

SCOTT KOUE  This is a utility not a fashion accessory! I wouldn't call it ugly and it certainly does look Mac (have you been on a PC lately, looks like they haven't changed the look since Win 3.0). It is not cluttered with cryptic buttons or a lot of eye candy but that is what I want in a utility. The bottom line is does it work. The answer is YES and very well. I will take substance over style any day of the week, however I didn't feel I made a compromise in style.

KEN BURNS EFFECT  Works with 10.5 Leopard!

And Tiger of course.

Perfect for listening to album samples, no need to manually select tunes.

Maybe it did crash once or twice in the past, I don't remember, also displays an error message if iTunes quit while ITMSP is running.

Minor problems in a very handy app.

KEN BURNS EFFECT  Use USB Overdrive instead of Logitechs useless driver!

It works for free, but is well worth the fee of USD 10.

Anyway, assign a command key sequence to any mouse key of your choice and your set to go.

Regards/JS

With one MX510 and one MX518 still in box.
