Just to add: No problems using ffmpegX under Leopard. The flakiness is definitely something to do with VisualHub. It worked fine under Tiger, but went to hell as soon as I upgraded to Leopard. I am running VisualHub 1.31a under OS X 10.5.2. |

thanks for the advice, pen_sq. i have also recently had kernel panics running this alongside Firefox and even Bejeweled 2. i think it might be Little Snitch or just a Leopard Airport bug (i am running Leopard 10.5.2, but never had problems using VisualHub under Tiger), but i can't be sure. i'll give the program you recommended a try. however, ffmpegX doesn't cause these problems, so it certainly seems that it is a VisualHub issue. |

Really unstable under Leopard. I get kernel panics if I run this alongside other programs (Firefox, Transmission, Bejeweled, etc.), despite checking the Low CPU priority button. Also, it gives me AppleScript errors when dealing with .MPEG files. I want to convert them for use on the Apple TV and cannot do it with this program. |

Under 10.5.2, Mail and iTunes both seem more crash prone. They die while doing simple stuff like just clicking on something. |

i'm really sick of this program either not working at startup or trying to launch iTunes or disappearing on wake from sleep. i'm switching to ByteController. |

Apple released 10.5.2 today, which they claim fixes Airport-related kernel panics. However, my first try using Azureus got a kernel panic after about a half hour. Something is still very wrong here. I'm switching to Transmission for good. |

kernel panics when running visualhub and transmission. not sure why. low cpu priority is checked, maybe the program is not respecting that preference. |

Don't know what version this started with, but for awhile now, whenever I launch the program, a different transaction is randomly selected. It was not the top or bottom transaction, or even the last transaction I highlighted before quitting the program. And it is different on every single launch. |

still not starting at launch for me. i put the program in the Utilities folder and checked the launch at login option, but i still have to start it manually after every reboot. |

still some French here and there. the Dock minimize preferences under Parameters and the word Léopard in the preferences, for example. |

Yes, the developer was "kind enough to respond"... by being a cocky jerk. I don't have a problem with the advice he offered, only with how he expressed himself (much in the same manner you have a problem with my response). Criticizing my word choice is just childish and accomplishes nothing but highlighting your own problems. The point I made stands: the modifier key when clicking and the weird way this program sorts is counter-intuitive. The application does not behave how a standard user would expect it to, and is very un-Mac-like. There is no reason for any book catalog to sort by first name by default. |

Azureus 3.0.4.2 still causing kernel panics on OS X 10.5.1. According to posts on their forums, this has to do with Leopard's Airport drivers. I do not recommending using this program on Leopard until Apple or Azureus finds a workaround. |

Since upgrading to 3.0.4, I have had two kernel panics while using this program. This program was the only thing changed recently, so I believe the new version is the problem. I have reverted to 3.0.3.4 and all seems well. |

I would love this if it could automatically download and update Easy List and Easy Element filters from http://easylist.adblockplus.org/ |

Doesn't seem to block anything. Not sure if it has horrid filters or just isn't working on the sites I visit. Google ads aren't blocked. Amazon ads aren't blocked. Where does this get it's block list from and does it get subscribed filter updates like AdBlock for Firefox? There is no way to view what it has blocked or tweak it's behavior. Developer's page contains very little information on what this is supposed to be doing. |

"Catching up is impossible - we're way ahead." Hahaha! I needed a good laugh. Delicious Library sorts authors correctly by default without needing some bizarre keyboard combination, and already has a field for number within a series without the need to add one. It also sorts within a series automatically. This crazy sort and then sort within a sort is counter-intuitive, and in no way "ahead." |

Two feature requests: 1) Sort by author name should sort by the last name. 2) There should be a field to input numbers for position within a series, and the books should automatically be sorted within their series. Both of these features already exist in Delicious Library. I am just waiting for this program to catch up. |

The default sort is alphabetical by title, which makes no sense. Sorting by author sorts by first name unless you inputed last name first. Delicious Library import produced errors that scrolled off screen, so I could not see what the choices were (because there was no scroll bar). Hitting enter (which I assume was OK) gets rid of this message, but the import seems to stay in progress forever until canceled. Undo cannot undo a delete action. |

i have vista on a bootcamp partition and it starts up fine, lets me log in, then gives me an ethernet driver error and becomes unresponsive. won't let me install the tools, move the mouse, ctrl+alt+del... nothing. i waited and waited and eventually gave up and went back to boot camp. |

Does keeping your system "fit and clean" include deleting caches, repairing permissions, and running cron scripts? Have you removed the program (including prefs and Application Support files) and reinstalled it? Make sure you have tried all the basics before you blame the developer. |

i would so love this if it was more configurable. it really needs the ability to configure a hotkey for hide/show and disable the little green button altogether. menubar prefs would be nicer than junking up the interface with the rapidostart tab in the lower-right, which doesn't even act like a tab. lots of promise. i look forward to the next update. |

it keeps telling me it can't sign in and it's not my fault. (how reassuring!) tripled checked the login name and password and they are correct. i'll try again later and hopefully i can get it to work. |
