JON55 Ok, I had no idea you could save pages to PDF's right from OS X until reading these posts, so now, after installing CUPS-PDF, how do I uninstall it?

JON55 So I just came across a bug. I can't change the upload rate per torrent. If I click on a torrent, goto the Options tab (the gear), click on Upload rate, goto limit and set it to 5 (instead of the default 40), it just goes back to 40. This happens on every torrent. I even tried changing the default to 5, and it's still stuck at 40.

JON55 Wow. I've tried deleting the files as many have suggested, and now when I try to go through the setup assistant (which shouldn't even run in the first place), it asks for the key. I put in my key, and press continue. Nothing happens. No error messages, no beeps, nothing. The "continue" button just continues flashing. I've pressed it 60 times now. What the hell!

JON55 Please follow everyone else's advise and don't even bother with this app. What sucks most is this is actually a nice app, but the dev. is an idiot and has a terrible service record. I've lost count over how many posts I've read about people who had bought the "lifetime" upgrade and havn't been able to get it to work. And when you email the dev., he rarely responds and when he does it's nothing more than a 1 word answer. This app could be awesome if it wasn't so expensive and buggy. Otherwise, looks-wise, it's the best by far.

JON55 Wow I've been a long time Safari user and after trying out the beta I'm impressed for the most part. It's a shame it doesn't look like an OS X application. I mean for Windows it's nice, but on OS X...heh. Implement that and make it 100% Leopard compatible and this will be THE top OS X browser.

FRANKFX Why not make it look like an OsX app then? Get the Opera fx theme or something like that. It takes some time to get Opera fully customised but it works great. mouse gestures to name just something. Firefox is slow and needs lots of extra plugins to do what opera does out of the box. for those who want the tab bar underneath the adressbar hide the adressbar and create a new one in the main bar this one is on top of all other bars.

MIKE RATT themes? Yeah, this sounds very 90's. Gimme a solid UI that respect the Apple Guidelines. The first (don't forget it, Opera fans) is: "Users will learn your application faster if the interface looks and behaves like applications they’re already familiar with", not to mention: "Your application will have the same modern, elegant appearance as other Mac OS X applications". http://developer.apple.com/documentation/UserExperience/Conceptual/OSXHIGuidelines/XHIGIntro/chapter_1_section_1.html A THEME must be a CHOICE, not a NEED.

FRANKFX Agreed, out of the box Opera looks crappy (like firefox does too) and that's could be something to blame the developer. But the reason for pointing out to themes is to get people to step over their first impression and give the software a try. Oh, and by the way, what about the brushed metal in finder and safari in osX uptill 10.5? At least with theming both firefox and opera are integrated in the overall look of osX 10.4

JON55 I can't tell you how much I love this app, but I for some reason I still get more connections with Azureus on certain torrents than Transmission does. I have no idea why this is. The ports are open and working, but sometimes (on a torrent with few seeds) Azureus will connect to the few seeders while Transmission will show none.

I just felt like I needed to explain why I like Xtorrent so much, in detail. (And I'm in advertising, so I write a bit.) I usually give short reviews because I'm lazy, but I really do love this app. What's funny is I'm encountering a problem with Xtorrent on the latest Leopard build now. No text shows up in the tabs when I search. Actually, no search results pop up at all. (It seemed to start after I installed the latest version of Acquisition, but then reverted back to an older version.) I was just about to post something about that when I read your comment. Which means I'm going to have to contact David for support for the first time. As promised, I'll report back on my experience.

MUDFLAPPER Well, a few days after I emailed David, I still hadn't received a response. But then, a new version of Xtorrent was posted on MacUpdate. After downloading and installing, everything worked just fine. I emailed David again to say thanks, and he replied immediately saying he was glad that fixed my problem. All in all, not bad in the communication department. I would've liked to have received a confirmation of my initial email, but all I know is that my ills have been cured, so I'm still a satisfied customer.

JON55 This browser has the WORST bookmark manager ever. Trust me, it will piss you off. And it still feels nothing like an OS X app. On the bright side it is stable as hell, and all the add-on's are nice. But stable or not it won't be enough to take your mind off the clunky-ness of this browser. The sad thing is, this is only true for the OS X version. The Windows version rocks easily.

JON55 Since the past 2 updates I everytime I start it up everything seems fine at first, and then when I try to download something nothing will show up under "downloads". When I quit it (which I have to force quit now...even with this new version) and restart it back up again for a second time, it works fine and I can download again (but still have to force quit it in the end).

JON55 Yeah Im having the "null" issue too. I love this App to death!! Thank you so much for bring it back to life, but please fix!! The Script menu wouldn't show up in iTunes so I just opened FetchArt, everything went fine until it tried to download artwork, which is where the errors started popin up.

JON55 So everything installed fine and whatnot, but when I open it I get a window that comes down and asks for my password, I type it in, and then it disappears. But there arn't any other windows open, nor can I get any open. I try and goto preferences, open it, no windows appear! Help?
