JOHNNY ROCKET its great that someone has taken up the project and has it working. and very responsive to help. After posting my previous issue here, I realized it wasn't the place for it and found the bug submission link on the new developers web site. We worked on it and found it was an issue with just that episode. Thanks for reviving a great app! (Version 0.4.1)

B3NT The WeatherPop/Glu website seems to have been taken down now. That's good if they are no longer going to support they shouldn't sell. The closest replacement I've found is 'Meteo', a free and open-source utility. It's not as straight-forward and user-friendly as Weatherpop was. I miss the old Weatherpop menubar icon pop-down that showed all the local data with one click, and in its latest revision even showed a local radar image in the pop-down. It was great. If anybody finds anything better, or close, I'd like to hear about it. Kendall Hallett (Version 2.6.1)

FOLLEREC I see the problem as well. Looks like an OpenOffice.org bug, rather than a NeoOffice bug. I suggest you do the following: 1. As I don't have OpenOffice.org handy, if you do, test it with that (even on Windows or Linux) and see if the bug occurs there. 2. If you don't have OpenOffice.org to test with, go to the NeoOffice forums to have people there test it. If the bug occurs with NeoOffice only, file a bug in NeoOffice's bugzilla. If the bug occurs with OpenOffice.org as well, it's most probably an OpenOffice.org bug. You should file a bug report with them. As always suggested by NeoOffice people, don't even mention NeoOffice as OpenOffice.org developers will close the bug without looking at it if you mention NeoOffice. (Version 2.2.3 patch 1)

Then I ran iJailBreak 0.5 and it worked, except I then found that youtube isn't working. Everything else is doing fine. I tried the following fixes found on a website but they didn't fix the youtube issue... Fixing some quirks with the upgrade to 1.1.3 This is how to fix any problems you may have once in 1.1.3 with out installing any crazy fixes. Sound: Just goto Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings YouTube: Will be fixed when you fix the sound. Voicemail: Just tap the voicemail button and let it call your mailbox. Listen to the deleted messages prompt and hang up. Call it a couple of more times. Then, just be patient. In a few minutes, a window will pop up and ask you for your voicemail password. Type it in and you'll be good to go. (Version 0.5)

JOHNNY ROCKET just tried this out, worked as advertised. I had 1.0.2 with apptap installer and several 3rd party apps. Followed the directions in the help and it worked perfectly. My 3rd party apps didn't show at first, but I used iNdependence to put apptap back on by extracting the 'installer' first from the apptapp app, then I had to just uninstall and reinstall the 3rd party apps. So far I've gotten the following 3rd party apps installed and tested: Apollo, Stumbler, iFlicker, MobileFinder, Services, TapTapRevolution, iBlackjack, weDict, Sketches, VNotes, Books. Summberboard will not uninstall, so can't get it to reinstall. Haven't gotten it to install my custom ringtones yet. But did a little research and aparantly you can't just rename them to .m4r because it's actually a different kind of file, not just a renamed mpeg4 audio. At least that's what it looks like so far. JOHNNY ROCKET this version only took about 3 hours to index my computer instead of the ~24 hours it took on the previous version I tried out. now to test it out.... (Version 1.0.3.301)

Books | Jun 1 2007 |
JOHNNY ROCKET like this program but wish the export to web function would update an existing folder rather than create a new one, that way when I synchronize it with the folder on my website, it doesn't think it has to upload the entire folder. I found a workaround by copying the contents of the old 'books' directory into the new one and overwriting the books that are already there. Then it just has to synchronize the new books. iCal Events | Apr 16 2007 |
JOHNNY ROCKET I've been using iCal Events for a while and it's been great. A couple of days ago I noticed that it's showing events from 2005 even after I've deleted them. Any ideas what might be causing this? Here's some additional info that might be of use... this is on a new iMac that I transfered stuff from my iBook. Yesterday I added the GCALdaemon to sync my iCal with my gmail calendar. I tried closing and reopening iCal Events and making sure my iCal was set to delete events after 90 days. (Version 2.2.1)

gSync | Apr 10 2007 |
JOHNNY ROCKET hmmm... it's been synchronizing for 1/2 hour now and has accomplished nothing. In fact it started synchronizing before I gave it an account, had to stop it and give it an account. Had to quit it then refresh the google account to get it to ask for the password. [had to figure this out as the Help only has info on when there will be a stable release and how to uninstall it. (probably the most helpful part)] hmmm... it's still refreshing the google account... but the window with the password is still open... I click the button again and it gets an error. I click the button to show the log and it says 3 times that there was an error logging in. I click the button to close that window and nothing happens. I click the red X to close the window and the whole program crashes. (Version 0.9.5rc2)

Hopefully it'll be universal binary! (Version 1.5)

JOHNNY ROCKET it's too bad this was discontinued, but good that it's still made available. I like to set this at 220 bpm, the tempo that shamanic drumming is at, and then do some shamanic jouneying. I've tried a few other metronome programs and this one is the best. (Version 0.1.5)

fennel DVDManager | Feb 24 2007 |
FENNELSOFTWARE Johnny, we've got a very good news for you: if you were using Excel for keeping your DVD library up-to-date, you simply have to export your data in CSV format. Then, from within fennel DVDManager, just invoke the "File > Import DVD Library…" menu item and then choose to import this .csv file. In a couple of seconds, you'll get your data back and will be ready to use our product instead to manage the workflow of your DVDs :) ! (Note: This CSV-based import feature is available since our very first version…) In case of any issue, don't hesitate to contact us directly, we'll be happy to help you in this process. Cheers. Meteorologist | Feb 21 2007 |
JOHNNY ROCKET a buddy of mine finally converted to Mac and I was giving him some programs for his new computer. One of which was Meteorologist. Unfortunately every city search we did failed to find anything. His internet connection works fine, so tested on my copy of meteorologist and it wouldn't find any city either. What gives? has something changed and now it's a worthless program that will only give data for the default city? looks like it's no longer under development either, last update was almost 2 years ago. I used to give this the highest rating, but now it's not functioning properly (Version 1.4.4)

CHIGH I guess you have no idea how this software is really used. Skype will not connect to my PBX. Gizmo will connect to my PBX, however, the voice traffic must go through Gizmo's network, the client will not connect directly to my PBX. On top of that Gizmo doesn't work so well through NAT because the traffic must go through their servers. Idefisk is free and works very well, but it only uses IAX. For testing purposes, I need SIP, too. There are other SIP/IAX clients out there for the Mac and I've tried many of them and had not a lot of luck I'll be testing this client, too. So, don't go harping on this software just because it isn't free. Anyway... competition == good. (Version 0.8515)

JOHNNY ROCKET this rocks. I wanted to download an entire directory of jpg's [scans of a very very old book] and nothing else I tried worked. With over 400 files, it would take me a long time to get them all manually downloading them. This did it without a hitch! (Version 0.7)

AKROBAT Ah yes Johnny Rocket, perhaps you are right BUT... this app is easy, secure and free If you wish to share files that over an internet connnection and not just a LAN network, how do you do it? Or perhaps the files in question have 'illegal' names (as Windows likes to put it). What do you do then? Being the expert you are I look forward to your gems of wisdom on this matter... Car Companion | Dec 16 2005 |
JOHNNY ROCKET just downloaded it and tried it out. I found it easy to figure out, the help is nicely written. I was able to input both my vehicles information easily. There was one thing that I did find annoying, when entering the cost of a repair item, I had to make sure I didn't have the dollar sign highlighted when I started typing the amount. This will clear the dollar sign, then when you tab over to the next field, the amount is cleared out. (Version 1.3.2)

JOHNNY ROCKET I haven't done any kind of website creation in so many hears that I thought I would have too hard a time creating one. But I recently got a project to create a site for my department at work. I did a quick search of MacUpdate and found this. I was surprised at how easy it was to use. Within about an hour of playing in the Sandbox I was ready to start building my own site. I did so and the people at work were very impressed. I then made one for my family and they think it's great! Apple Broadband Tuner | Nov 29 2005 |
JOHNNY ROCKET to FLASH1296's comment "Obviously, one needs to rerun this installer EVERY time the O S is reinstalled." Well, duh. Everything needs to be reinstalled if you reinstall the OS. Also, I've used Maintain for a long time now. In the current version you can either set the Net Speed Up to: Default, Increase Values [which only doubles, no triple or quadruple], or Pick your own. It is a good program but once you reboot, those values must be set again. Apple Broadband Tuner permanently sets the values. ABT is a 1.0 so I'm sure it's feature set will expand in future releases. [at least I home it does!] (Version 1.0)

JOHNNY ROCKET If you're having problems with this program then email the author. He'll send you a test version of the program that will generate some log information that you can email back to him that will help him troubleshoot the issue. I had to do this once and he was a great help, very responsive and got the issue fixed very quickly. This is a great little program. (Version 1.12)
