JOELSCHMIDT2 Ignore Fahlman. He's probably just upset that Basset Software wrote this program before he could. (Version 2.2)

JOELSCHMIDT2 Instead of going off on macupdate, how about you report on news as soon as you see it? Macupdate only lists software that has been reported by either the developer or the end-users. (Version 1.25)

TYLER LOCH I submitted the updated listing immediately after release, and at the same time as VersionTracker's. (Version 1.25)

MAME OS X | Apr 15 2007 |
JOELSCHMIDT2 Mr.Ash obviously did not bother to take the time to learn how this version of MAME works before posting his review. In both MacMAME and MAME OS X, joystick configuration is handled on a per game basis. When you start a game, press the tab key to access the input setup menus . And the reason that "half my ROMs do not work", is because Mr.Ash is most likely using an outdated ROMset. MAME is a constant work in progress and as a result, there will be changes to what files are needed for a given game to work in every new release. ALWAYS make sure you are using the most recent ROMset version of your favorite games to ensure that they continue to work. (Version 0.114)

VMware Fusion | Dec 24 2006 |
JOELSCHMIDT2 Has potential. Installed without any troubles, and I was able to successfully create a Windows XP Home Edition VM Image. No problem with installing the VMWare tools either. HOWEVER, until VMWare, Parallels or even CrossOver support the direct use of the Intel GMA 950 video chipset in the MacBooks and Mac Minis, none of these programs are using for anything more than Pre-DirectX 8 games/emulators or programs that do not require serious graphics (ie MS Office). (CrossOver DOES support the use of the MacBook/Mac Mini Intel GMA 950 chipset now, but ONLY up to DirectX 8) (Version Build 36932)

Acquisition | Nov 21 2006 |
JOEL.SCHMIDT Nice troubleshooting Mircoslob, but that doesn't help me. In fact, doing that revealed another problem with the newer versions. Unless I entered my email address to register the software, Acquisition would only update 15% of the core before stopping and claiming everything was ready. I have a feeling that not too many people will be happy with being 'forced' to register in order for the software to be properly installed. (Version 132.7)

SHOTGUNWEDDINGS Sorry to hear the brute force methods didn't work getting it to connect again. The java core update bug seems to be an issue for a while, I honestly don't know if it's corrupted when it's interupted with the registration nag or not. I normally would just delete the Acquisition Core folder after registering to avoid any possibility of corruption. I just updated to 132.7 and it gave me the same issue as you, no connections to any peers & empty searches until I killed the Acquisition Core folder and forced it to download it again. Worked fine after that. Take 'er easy. (Version 132.7)

DP-G4-450GUY Me too, Joe! One thing, tho' - Roxio MUST address the Music-DVD erratic track-order playback issue. This bug has been around far too long to be ignored. (Version 7.1.2)

JOEL.SCHMIDT Useless. Purchased a license a year ago, but bought a new one sunday because Acquisition would not accept my registered email address (and David had previously tried to claim that my email address had been used too many times to register and was blocked). Shortly after I purchased the new license, I encountered the same failure to connect problem that several people have been reporting. As of 3:06:15pm 11/07/2006, Central Standard US Time, Acquisition is STILL not able to connect. I did not purchase this software to spend at least 2 days not able to use it. I have checked all my port settings as suggested on David's site, everything is as he suggests. (Version 132.6)

DVD Assist | Sep 14 2006 |
JOEL.SCHMIDT >If it sees Front Row play a movie within a VIDEO_TS >folder, it then tells Front Row to Quit, and opens the >VIDEO_TS folder in DVD Player. How does that enable Front Row to play the VIDEO_TS file? (Version 1.4.1)

MOONLIGHT MAC DVD Assist includes a placeholder movie. When Front Row plays that placeholder movie, DVD Assist knows to switch out of Front Row and over to DVD Player. The transisition is seemless. It is explained much better in the docs. (Version 1.4.1)

CPU Director | Mar 28 2006 |
JOELSCHMIDT2 03/09/2006, 1:15pm, EST PowerLogix has announced Other World Computing (OWC) has secured the exclusive rights to all PowerLogix proprietary hardware designs and software code, as well as copyrights, logos, brand names, and web domains. ============================ That would explain the so called "run-around" you reported Jeff. But I wonder why you expected any kind of service other than a discounted replacement when the cpu upgrade failed AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED? (Version 2.3b3)

JEFF H. I was half hoping that I would be offered something other than a discount of $50 on the $400 processor they offered me AFTER I paid nearly $800 on a processor that died just 4 months after the warranty was up. I understand business is business, but not even 3 years on an $800 processor? That's just wrong! (Version 2.3b3)

Ircle X | Mar 2 2006 |
JOELSCHMIDT2 I see the problem. it does indeed download a 3.5a1 DMG, but if you actually check the version of the ircle app, it says it is 3.5a2. (Version 3.5a2)

PlayVideoTS | Dec 13 2005 |
JOELSCHMIDT2 to Michael Pipolo Actually, you can drag and drop the Video_TS folder onto the DVD Player icon in the applications folder (or in your dock like I have it) and it will start up automatically. Still no need for this program. (Version 1.0.1)
