JIMSTER  Try creating a couple of accounts (making sure to wait the defined AccountRefresh time before you try them). The first account I created didn't work, but the second one did. No idea why. They both look the same in the logon database.

JIMSTER  Have you tried creating a character using the web interface (http://localhost on you ArceMux server)? If not, try that and see if that character works.

JIMSTER  Here's the problem I having: After playing for about 2 minutes, I get this error in the arcemu-world window:

arcemu-world(170,0xb040f000) malloc: *** mmap(size=4241416192) failed (error code=12)

*** error: can't allocate region

*** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'

what(): std::bad_alloc

This happens on both and 3.1.3 or 3.2.0.

JIMSTER  Sorry, the above is a reply to "MABOROSHI I gotta say I'm having a very tough time trying to run this server on a mac while trying to connect to it from another on the same lan."

JIMSTER  You're right, looks like the other place to change is in the "Listen Host" block. And now that I get thinking about it, changing other IP's to the machines NAT address wouldn't be an issue since the service/server could still be found at that address.

JIMSTER  I had that same problem and I tried a few things all at once (which is a bad idea, I know) to fix it so I'm not sure exactly what I did. The two things that I remember were that I installed Rosetta (which I had not installed as part of the normal Mac OS X install) and that I reinstalled everything starting with the lib then doing all the ArceMux downloads in order. When I restarted the process, I was working with a freshly restored (restored from a CCC copy prior to any installation) system.

JIMSTER  As JEREMYMEILE says, yes this is possible and in fact, this is the default installation. Just don't forget to use the ArceMux Options to set the location of your WoW app and it's Realmlist file then hit "Set" on the General options.

JIMSTER  I believe there is only ONE place you need to change to have ArceMux accept connections from places other than localhost (127.0.0.1). And that's in realms file in the "Realm1" block. And only one place there. All the other localhost (127.0.0.1) are used for the application to communicate to the database servers (which are running on the localhost in the default configuration).

So if you have been changing other IPs, it's likely you broke something and you probably will see errors in the startup windows.
