JIM WINSKI  Weinkeller is a great app. For the poor soul that can't afford to drink any more, that's too bad. However, some of us still can afford to keep track of the wines we have and the developer has made an excellent tool for us. Sorry.

JIM WINSKI  Tried POV on my 24 in iMac 2.16 GHz Intel Dual Core 2 with max RAM and running Leopard 10.5.1. It launched and began playing music. First the mouse cursor was stuck - no mouse, no keyboard. After a few minutes, the mouse unstuck, as did the keyboard. Screen began to slowly refresh, but I was unable to force quit or do anything else. I was never able to see the game screen or do anything other than hard reboot. Wow. First time I've had to do that since I bought this Mac 14 months ago.

Hope the developer reads the reviews and decides to do some more testing, tweaking, etc.

JIM WINSKI  Bookworm Deluxe is a fun and addicting word game. The first time you play, it seems easy enough - just connect the letters to make words. But as you progress, you find that strategy has its place as well. The game is well worth the price!

JIM WINSKI  If you get a message that states that Bookworm Deluxe must be run from an account with Computer Administrator privileges, this may be caused by the fact that you had a previous version installed and the plist file is still there. Trash your plist.

To do this, go to your user folder (the one that looks like a house) and go to the Preferences folder. Find the file called com.popcap.bookworm.plist and remove it - throw it in the trash. Now restart Bookworm and have fun!

JIM WINSKI  Very fun game, much like the original arcade game from back in the 80's. It's played sideways, so your paddle is on the right and attempting to clear blocks on the left, as opposed to the original where your paddle was on the bottom and attempting to clear blocks at the top. The powers you get from the falling capsules seem to combine rather than overwrite each other, although there may be a setting to change this. It seems easier than the old arcade game, but maybe my coordination has improved since then. ;-)

It's got a tutorial system that is built in to explain what each of the objects are, and it's easy to turn off. It is a mouse-based game, so you are not using the keyboard. I don't know if you can use the keyboard or not. I'd prefer a dial like the old days, but I don't have one.

JIM WINSKI  We need more games like this! It's addicting and a lot of fun. The only negative I can say is that the music stays in my brain for long time!
