JIM MATTHEWS  Yes, there is an easier way. You can download the Fetch Example Scripts from http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/download . One of the scripts is called "Recursive Fetch Permissions" -- it will do exactly what you want.

JIM MATTHEWS  Fetch 4.0.2b1 fixes the drag and drop problem on 10.1.3 (and later), and is available for testing from http://getfetch4.com/Fetch_4.0.2b1.sit

The official release of 4.0.2 will be available this month.
