JETPILOT  Just installed 9.1 PPC version. Still fails to run - Internal Error.

JETPILOT  Adobe Reader 9 will not run my mac [PPC G4 MDD dual 1Ghz] - I get "Internal Error" message. The Adobe Reader download page has no choice for MacOS 10.5.6 so I guess they do not support the latest OS. They did not show at MacWorld. There does not appear to be a user forum to get self help - At least I could not find one. Telephone support is available weekdays only for $40 per call - Nothing free.

Conclusion: Avoid this software!!!

DP-G4-450GUY  You pulled down the Intel version by mistake.

The PPC version runs just fine on PPC-based Macs.

You can run it on 10.5.6 - but 10.5.7 has various security updates and there have been other updates since then (from Apple) that you really should apply - Adobe is staying on the legally 'safe' side of the fence by stating they want YOU to be at the maximum security level before installing their product - protection from any liability - as every software developer will state in their system requirements. It's just using good common sense.

BEZIERBOY  Confirming that it crashes on launch on an Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook, OS X 10.5.6, citing "internal error".

Version 9.0.x was (and still is) useless as well, hence I use Preview or the paid version of Acrobat 8 I have.

WTF, Adobe?
