JEFF HENDRICKSON  I've been using REALbasic since version 5.4. It bothers me sometimes when I see it described as a "hobbyist's" tool. I use the pro version of this excellent development tool exclusively to develop my cross-platform commercial software products, including "Purify."

REALbasic offers a lot, and like anything else, you need to dig into it to discover its true capabilities. Technical support is great, and responsive. The online support community is great. The product has everything that you need to do real cross-platform product development. The only plugin that I've ever needed is the MySQL plugin for some of my Linux server based apps, which by the way works great. My primary development environment is OS X 10.4.11, on a dual PowerPC Mac with 1.5GB of RAM and a Cinema Display, and REALbasic is a pleasure to use in this environment.

My recommendation, if you're looking for a powerful cross-platform development tool, look no further than REALbasic Pro.

If you want to develop a REALbasic application that is AppleScript scriptable, this is a must have tool. I've tested it with RB 5.5.5, RB 2006 r2, and RB 2006 r3, and it worked like a champ with every version.

This application is only $20, and a competitor's product (Resorcerer) that does about the same thing is $249!!

I had a minor, self inflicted use problem, and the developer was very helpful, and responsive.

JEFF HENDRICKSON  Anonymous, I think that you were using the JLS SpamX (not Sp@mX), which is another product, by another developer....

JEFF HENDRICKSON  Sp@mX uses a combination of three RBLs to check an IP address for known spammers, open relays, etc...

If you've received a Sp@mX complaint, then your IP address was in the SMTP header, AND your IP address is listed in one of the RBLs as a known spammer, open relay, etc...

If you believe that you are receiving reports in error, then I would suggest you look inward, and tidy your domain, and clean your domain's IP address(es) from the RBLs.
